jon jones is the 205 champ and will never fight Cain unless he gets tired of beating everyone in LHW Division after another 1-2 yrs and he tries to move up.. just like GSP will never fight Silva cause GSP's a pure 170 pounder and Anderson walks around at 215-225 lbs, the size difference is way to different. best possible matchup would be Anderson vs Jon Jones cause Anderson fought at 205 already and that's more realalistic

I LOVE MMA... for one reason... when someone wins... no one thinks they are ever going to lose. Cain does that 9 times out of 10? LOL NO... its hard for n e HW to do that to n e other good HW 9 times out of 10
When men are that big there is one simple fact... u don't have to be a good striker or even that talented... if u land a solid shot to the head you can KO someone. You can have the greatest chin in the world... I mean we have watched JDS TEE OFF on Roy Nelson for 3 rds and couldn't stop him... we watch Werdum knee Nelson to the face and beat the breaks off him yet the man kept going... however, one night a man that is def not known for his power in Andrei Arvlowski surely highlight reel KO'd him
That's why the HW division doesn't have huge title defense streaks... the bigger men get the easier it is for them to knock ppl out w/less technique... that's why defenses at the LHW and HW are more difficult than at 145-155-170. I mean a little while back ppl were saying how Brock wasn't going to lose because he was just too big, too fast, and too strong.
I have no problem fielding an argument that Cain is the most well rounded/best HW in the world, but if he and JDS fight he doesn't win 9 out of 10. 6 out of 10 7 out of 10 maybe... but more often than not... one of those shots land and change the entire outcome of the fight.... I mean look at the fight between Costa and Tim... Tim did in the first rd almsot exactly what Cain was able to do to JDS... one eye poke/shot... and look what happens.
And PS DC and Cain aren't going to fight... its going to be Reem vs Cain if Reem wins... then I have a feeling we are going to see something like JDS vs Nelson 2 or something instead of JDS vs DC... then JDS getting some kind of rematch. Unless Reem beats Cain and DC looks really good in his UFC debut for a good name like Mir.

are you implying that cain should be a -900?
jds got caught with a shot and, imo, didnt recover until the 3rd round and by that time the fight was over as he had already sustained too much punishment to establish an attack.
jds at +800?
where do i sign up?
whats the bet limit?
ill buy 50k's worth and then hedge out at cain-300(still inflated), which is what i think the line will be in the rematch.
jds has the best striking in the division and probably all of mma(power, left hook, jab, overhand right, uppercut) as well as a solid chin.
not flaming you, crowat, as i appreciate all your write-ups but this seems like another case of overvaluing and over-emphasizing a bad night for jds.
this is similar to the hate that lombard was receiving after he lost to boetsch, entirely unsubstantiated.
