almost seems like its too good to be true. Osp is going to get countered all day with those sloppy wide punches of his, and Rua should find a big opening for his brutal leg kicks. OSP has a good chin and is pretty dam tough so i would be surprised to see Shogun put him away...... odds are at DSI..... Thoughts?
It is too good to be true. Who isn't looking at Shogun at -155 and licking their chops? And then props offering big + money like this one? And yet, the line has actually moved in reverse over the last 24 hours.
A couple things to think about; 1. OSP will be the much larger man. He may have 20-30 lbs of muscle on Rua. In a fight that may be won in the clinch, this may be very important. 2. Since the height of Shogun's ufc career, he is 3-4, beating two guys no longer in the ufc - Forrest and Vera - and one guy who is now fighting at MW - Te Huna - who just lost to a guy who's fought the last few years at WW in Marquardt. All of these guys like to stand and trade and are very hittable. OSP would be stupid to trade with shogun. 3. The best striker OSP has fought is easily Gegard. He lost 29-28 and won the 3rd mounting and GnPing Mousasi, almost finishing the fight with a darce at the end. Since then, he's 5-1 with his only loss by human blanket to Bader.
