The more and more I think about Evans vs Henderson... I really feel like Shad is going to be on his bike for the first round trying to throw some lead leg kicks, hoping Dan gases a little... then legit greg jackson style pinning into the cage and shooting the doubles hard...
I wouldn't be shocked if he just all out went for a takedown rd1 and tried to turn this into nothing more than a pure wrestling match.

Hendo’s strengths: MMA veteran, former pride & strikeforce champion, H-Bomb, Olympic Greco-roman wrestler , Iron chin, heavy hands, strong sprawl, great body lock takedowns.
Weakness: 43 years old, has been taken down by lesser level wrestlers (Jake Shields), many injuries
Rashad’s strengths: Athletic, fast, explosive, division I wrestler, powerful double leg, good head movement,
Weakness: Questionable game plans, doesn’t utilize his wrestling as often as he should, questionable chin.
Summary: Hard pick because I do not know which Rashad will show up. If Rashad sticks and moves he can out point Hendo, but that leaves the possibility of catching the H-bomb to his jaw. I can see the fight ending under 2 ½ via H-Bomb, or Rashad sticking & moving & winning via decision. This is a very close fight, but I would take the younger and healthier Rashad via decision. I’m leaning to take the over 2 ½ rounds as my bet, but there is a lot of juice so I’ll wait till after the weigh-ins to make a bet.
Bet: leaning towards Rashad at -120/Over 2 ½ rounds @ -235

Rashad has been with the blackzillians and he wasnt looking too good his last 2 fights. I think he has a problem sticking with a game plan, or just coming out with a crappy one. The Blackzillians were not looking too good for a few of the fight, JZ, Rashad, Overreem, etc, there cardio & strategy looked questionable. He was trying to outbox a boxer and his last match it was little Nog, but he fell away from what took him to the top, his wrestling. If he goes out their sticks in the moves and utilizes his wrestling to finish off every round he might be able to pull off a decision.

Miocic Is coming off of his first loss, a knockout lost to Stefan Struve. I do not know how he is going to rebound from that loss. This should be interesting I wonder if he is going to try to stand with big country. Miocic has good boxing & some wrestling but I do not see him getting Big Country down. Big Country has good takedown defense and I think he will keep it on his feet and get the knock out and in rd 1 or 2. But I am worried about his cardio. If he survives the onslaught of Big Country & takes Roy into the second and third round I'm wondering how Roy keeps up. But I think Roy would catch him & put him to sleep in the first round.

Rashad left Jackson's a few years ago and even in his advanced age Henderson is a much better wrestler than Rashad.
I agree with most of your other picks.
Curious on which ones you are picking? I was on the fence about Barry and Jordan, because I can see this going both ways. I can see Jordan wearing berry down and getting a decision or a submission. Jordan is an agile and strong fighter from Greg Jackson's camp and they always have a good strategy. He took a beating in His last fight, and his opponent gassed himself out and he came back and beat him. But he was catching cracks in the first round. Not very put any man asleep with his knock out power. But his ground game always suspect. I think Jordan will be strategic and take him down and ride out a decision. But I'm still going with Pat Barry by tko first round.

Davis is a BJ J black belt and is well-rounded from what I've been researching. She has wins over Julie McKenzie, and other notable women fighters. I have Davis by decision.
Barryover Jordan via KO 1st rd **still in debate**
Pat Barry is one of the most entertaining guys outside of the ring and his interaction with fans makes me a bigger fan of his. He possesses knock out power, but lacks a ground game. All his wins but 1 has been by KO. He has lost to guys who poses better ground game, except for Morecraft. He’s been taken down, and he’s been ko’d on a few occasion.
Jordan is one tough SOB who is an agile and strong heavyweight. Jordan knows how to utilize his size and he is bigger than Berry and this can be a factor. I do not think this fight will go the distance. One of the guys will go to sleep, it could be Pat Barry with the heavy hands or it might be Jordan putting Pat Barry to sleep with some ground and pound. Jordan's best option would be to implement his Jackson style game plan and take the fight to the ground and wear out HD. Right now I’m thinking Barry over Jordan via KO 1st rd, but I’m starting to lean towards Jordan as the fight gets closer.

Pokrajac has a good chin, and decent boxing and likes to utilize a clinch game. He is well rounded and has used his wrestling in the past fights against Maldonado (who is a boxer).
Jimmo was on a 17 fight win streak prior to his loss to James Tehuna. Jimmo has knock out power and has one many fights by decision. He has also one win by submission so he shows he is well rounded.
Shields is a MMA vet who has fought the best, and beat the best. Has the best ground control and one of the best submission games in the welter weight division. He is able to get fights to the ground, but he doesn’t set up his shots is vulnerable for a knee or an uppercut when is coming in. He’s striking is too stiff, and he looks very robotic with no head movement or rhythm. But Jake Shields knows how to get the job done. He’s been able to take down an Olympic wrestler (Hendo), and beat knock out artist (Lawler and Daley). He has not looked very impressive in the UFC and it really makes me think he’s best days are behind him. He doesn’t seem the same since his father (also his cornerman, manager) passed away.
Woodley is a division I wrestler with speed, strength, and athleticism on his side. I believe is evolving into a well rounded mma fighter. He showed his evolution in his KO of Hieron, but then again Hieron doesn’t have the best chin. Maybe I’m jumping on the Woodley bandwagon too early, but I’m going with Woodley via KO 1st rd.

Stout is MMA vet who has is a technical striker, but has showed some ground game and takedowns (against Fisher). Stout is up against Krause who is submission specialist with 12 wins via submission. But Stout has not been submitted sin 7 years, and I do not see the UFC newcomer finishing off Stout in front of the hometown crowd. I’m taking Stout via decision.
Pierson over Robertson decision
Robertson made an impressive UFC debut and winning SOTN award with a nasty leg lock/banana split type submission. Most of his wins have come via submission, but Pierson has not been submitted in over 13 years. I just don’t see Robertson beating Pierson in front of the hometown crowd.
Figueroaover Delome via KO rd 2
Figueroa is a tough SOB who comes to fight and I believe the Texan native will be able to keep the fight on the fight and avoid the TUF alumni’s ground game. Figueroa has a good striking game and held his own against Rivera before he gassed out. Fig has faced other grapplers like Reinhart and TUF alumni like Bruce Leeroy and has came out on top. I’m going with the underdog Figueroa via KO rd 2.

Maguire is known for his ground game called gypsy jiu-jitsu, and he is making his lightweight debut against another submission fighter who is coming off 2 loses in the UFC. I believe Maguire 23 fight experience will be too much for the Clark. Maguire has faced and gone the distance with Hathaway and Riddle and I believe this fight will go the distance with Maguire getting the nod via decision.
Jabouin over Pague via KO 2nd rd

I was on the fence about this fight, but I think Rashad will get the decision. I don't think Rashad is dumb enough to go toe to toe with Hendo cause he knows he'll get KTFO. Rashad will try to mix it up and get a decision.
