Barao vs Dillshaw- Barao via TKO rd 2 – Bet: Barao ITD & Parlay
I’m still a lil confused on how Dillshaw got this title shot. I’m not a hater, but I don’t think a win over Easton justifies a title shot, he lost to Assuncaoprior to that win. He hasn’t beat any top rank guys in his division. But anyways, Dillshaw brings some good wrestling and some well improved striking to the table. He has improved tremendously since his knockout lost on the TUF finale to Dodson (flyweight title contender). His striking has improved with the help of Bang, and he has some nice aggressive takedowns, good g &p, and submission game. But I don’t see him bringing anything different or better than all other contenders have brought, including his own teammates.
Barao is something else, I don’t know where to begin. Barao has got great takedown defense and outshines Dillshaw in all aspects of the game, except maybe wrestling. But Barao’s takedown defense is better than Dillshaw’s wrestling skills. I see this fight playing out like all of Barao’s other title fights. I believe Barao will get the TKO stoppage within 2 rounds.

Lawler vs Ellenberger- Lawler via KO rd 2 – Bet: Lawler ML & Parlay
Lawler will keep it standing with his great takedown defense and out strike Ellenberger. Ellenberger has KO power, and relies too much on that one hit and he’s not going to land it on Robbie (Plus Robbie has a chin). Robbie has great head movement and boxing skills to stay in the pocket and get the finish within the distance.
Bet: Lawler ML & Parlay
Mizugaki vs Rivera- Mizugaki via decision – Bet: No bet
Rivera has good takedown defense, and has a really good stand up game that will pick Mizugaki apart if he can keep it on his feet. But Rivera does have a questionable gas tank and will become susceptible for takedowns in the later rounds if he can’t get a finish.Mizugaki should be able to get the takedowns and dry hump Rivera for a decision. I can see fight going either way, but I’m picking Mizugaki via decision.

Varner vs Krause- Krause via decision – Bet: Krause
Krause impressed me in his fight with Stout, he had improved striking and got the submission finish. But then he got finished quickly in his last fight with Bobby Green (questionable low blow). Varner has been a little unpredictable lately and I sometimes don’t know what to expect. I’m going to pick the underdog for this fight, and lay 1 unit on the dog.
Bet: Krause 1 unit
Chiesa vs Trinaldo- Chiesa via Sub 2nd rd – Bet: Chiesa parlay
Striker vs grappler match up. Trinaldo’s 1st UFC fight out of Brazil, and he does have a hard time cutting down to 155lb, so wondering how the traveling affected his cut. Trinaldo is a hard hitting striker who does tend to fade, and Chiesa is the opposite, and gets stronger as the fight progresses. Both fighters are southpaw, Chiesa has a height and reach advantage and will use his wrestling to get the takedown. Chiesa keeps the pressure on fighters, gets the takedown and forces fighters to make mistakes on the ground.I see Chiesa getting the finish in the 2nd round.
Bet: Chiesa parlay
Ferguson vs Kikuno- Ferguson via Decision – Bet: No bet
Ferguson has looked impressive since winning his TUF season, I’m unfamiliar with kikuno & his karate style, but looking at his record and reading about him online he has had some past success and has had some good fights with top fighters. But also seems like Kikuno’s best days may be behind him. I’ll be avoiding this fight to bet on, but I’ll go with Ferguson for the decision.Bet: No Bet

Holdsworth vs Camus- Holdsworth via sub 3rd rd – Bet: No bet
Holdsworth is still fairly untested to me, although he did look impressive in TUF. Training with Dillshaw for this fight, I’m sure he’s ready and we’ll see the best of Holdsworth. Although on a 2 fight win streak, Camus doesn’t have the best fight IQ (look at his fight against Kimura). I don’t know what to expect from him. Holdsworth is untested and Camus is unpredictable so I’ll avoid betting this fight but I believe Holdsworth ground game is dangerous and he will get the finish on Camus.
Bet: No Bet
Iaquinta vs Clarke- Laquinta via KO 2nd rd– Bet: No bet
Iaquinta has looked impressive and won 3 fights since his lost on the TUF finale. He’s training with Serra & Longo, and looks improved everytime he steps in the cage. Clarke won his last fight with Macguire, but did not look that impressive. Clarke is training out of the Lab and training with B. Henderson. Clarke has a good ground game, but I still see Iaquinta getting a KO by the 2nd round. I don’t like the juice on Iaquinta so I’ll avoid the bet.

Njokuani vs Pichel – Njokuani via Ko 2nd rd – Bet: Njokuani ML -240
Njokuani is 34 years and coming off nearly a year lay off, but he’s striking skills is on point and he’s had some nice knockouts in the past. One thing that concerns me is that he’s also inconsistent, win, lose, win, and lose, as of recent. Pichel has never impressed me and I don’t see him bringing anything to the table that Njokuani can’t neutralize. I’m taking Njokuani via KO 2nd rd.

Sicilia vs Phillips – Sicilia via KO 1st rd – Bet: Sicilia
Sicilia is another inconsistent fighter, but possesses some nasty KO power. He’ll be taking on newcomer Phillips, who is coming out Tim Credeur’s academy. Read some okay things on him, but seems like he hasn’t been challenged yet, so we’ll see if he’s ready for the big leagues. I’m taking Sicilia via KO in the 1st rd.
Bet: Sicilia ML
Michaud vs Li- Michaud via dec – Bet: No bet

Good luck tonight Chino. I think Barao walks through Dillashaw easy too. Don't see it lasting all 5 rounds.
Goodluck to you too! I think Barao is going to make a necklace out of Dillshaw's teeth and wear it to the next weigh-ins. I think Barao gets it done by the 2nd round. I can't believe under 4 1/2 rounds was only -175. Hope we all win big tonight!
