Fatselum seemed to have a hard time on the scales today. Wouldn’t surprise me to see an early KO from Till. Now cutting that extra 15 lbs will do wonders for him

All in all UFC 244 was a great event, regardless of the early stoppage in the main event. It would definitely have been interesting to see how much more Diaz had left in the tank to get the finish he obviously needed, but I still think Masvidal wins and possibly would have gotten his own finish if the fight continued. I'll be posting my picks every week, hopefully with a little more insight and points for discussion, but for now I'll leave some random thoughts from this past weekend for discussion:
1. I don't believe there's anyone at Flyweight that poses even an inkling of a threat to Valentina right now. Chookagian is the #1 ranked contender, and after that win I guess she gets the title shot, but with another performance like that she'll get destroyed by Bullet
2. Rozenstruik with 3 first-round KOs to start his UFC career, overall 9-0 with 8 KOs. I know it's been against weaker competition, but this is a bad man with a lot of potential. I'd love to see him get a top 10 fight, maybe JDS once he's healthy or even step in to fight Overeem in Washington, DC next month
3. Edmen Shahbazyan is only 21, but 4-0 in the UFC with 3 straight first round finishes. He could potentially be 2-3 wins away from a title shot, and I'd love to see him against a veteran like Brunson, or even Hermansson
5. Anyone else think the 1 judge in the Till/Gastelum fight wasn't even watching the fight? 30-27 Gastelum?! Thankfully the other 2 were competent enough not to screw up the decision! Till looks like a legit contender at Middleweight

And just like that, Rozenstruik steps in for Walt Harris to fight The Reem in DC next month! That will be a great heavyweight test for the hot prospect, especially against Overeem who has bounced back nicely after 2 brutal KOs to get 2 KO finishes of his own!
