Lawler clearly won the 2nd and probably won the 5th
I'm good with the champ keeping his belt in a war he got outpointed on
Probably won the fifth?
I have to rewatch the match to be sure, round 3 or 4 Robbie may have sneaked a win. Condit did not win those rounds by wide margins like Robbie did, so one of those close rounds was awarded to Rob.
Majority of Condits shots was to keep range, not damage. Condit gotten rocked multiple times, his chin is impressive though.

All the judges were all thinking the same thing. The only round they disagreed on was Rd 3.
1 Carlos
2 Robbie
4 Carlos
5 Robbie
the people that think lawler won are grabbing at anything to justify the bad decision
unless there is a knockdown/td or a fighter is visibly hurt, said fighter should not lose the round(third) when he throws three times as many punches(octogon control) and lands twice as many signifigant strikes
before the fifth round started, robbie lawler was offered as a +400(bet365 traders being the smartest guys in the room) and got bet up to +600. with one round remaining, these type of odds suggest a minimum of a two point round or a lawler finish in order for robbie to win or push the fight, both of which did not happen
it was another bad ufc decision

LOL UFC don't judge the fights the Nevada State Athletic Commission does don't you think if the judges was on UFC payroll their would be alot of corruption going on if you had to worry about Dana White being your boss?

LOL what does the NSAC have to do with the fact that lawler statistically did not win the third round...the whole premise for those that are trying to justify that robbie won the fight?
lawler opened as a +400 to start the fifth round
what do you not understand about that?
or i guess you want to make some stupid presumption that you know more about probablilties in live betting than the traders at williamhill and bet365

I think the table I broke after this fight still looks better than the scorecards from last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is with the 170lb division and judging anyways?????????????? GSP/Hendricks, Hendricks/Lawler 2, Noke/Morano, Larkin/Tumenov and now this fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had larkin and no problem with that decision. was even able to hedge out some
the lawler decision was just horrible.
lawler himself admitted in the postfight interview that his corner said that he needed to win the last two rounds and there is no way robbie won the fourth round visibly hurt from a condit left hook followed by a carlos right hand behind lawlers left ear which threw off his equilibrium
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APw2P5qK7rA
fourth round saw robbie land 6 of 18 to condits 47 of 98

Strike statistics don't tell the tale of this fight. Condit has more volume, Lawler hits harder.
The fight could have gone the either way. But I believe the challenger to a title fight has to BEAT the champion. Not squeak by.
Certainly not close to one of the worst decisions we've seen in this sport. Everyone's score cards are all over the place. Based on how I scored it, I'm not sure what I was watching! I have to rewatch for sure

I'm sorry but that "you have to beat the champion to really beat the champion" is the biggest load of bullshit ever. That excuse in invalid and irrelevant as fuck in my opinion. If you win you win, you lose you lose. Even draft kings had Condit with 88 points Lawler at 72 I believe and that was with a decision win bonus point system. Condit hurt Lawler bad in that 4 round and had Robbie stumbling. They both rocked each other, but Condit out struck him horrible. Does volume not count for anything? Basically volume vs power, power wins in the judges eyes all day but volume efficient strikes add up and do damage as well. These judges are all incompetent, none of them train I can pretty much guarantee that, theirs no regulations by UFC because they are appointed by the commissions and even referees are terrible. It's a huge flaw when you have a governed body in control of such significant things.

I agree with you, I hate that saying... Only in boxing or MMA do you see that because of judges that can really darn things up and you dont know who is ahead at the time until the final say, it would be nice if between rounds they actually told fighters the judges scores. With other sports where they actually keep a score, if the champ loses a close game he loses PERIOD, not any of the common 'well it wasnt a decisive win so let the champ keep the title'

I have always wondered if the judges are required to enter their score after each round, or fill out the scoring chart AFTER the fight.
The fight was close. Can't argue that. Condit probably edged him out point wise. But almost got finished at the end. Lawler always seems to leave the end of the fight in the judges minds and has won a string of close calls.
It's far from the worst decision. Even that night, Noke got robbed. one judge and MMA junkie (for one) had it 30-27 Noke.

Definately rigging going on. Lawler condit fight it was so close you can't say it was fixed. This was planned though. To piss us off more someone that had access to the scorecard took a legit clear picture by order from a higher up. Maybe im wrong, but that doesnt sound right. Creating drama. They couldnt care less who is champ whatever makes the chairman more dough.
Point wise Condit landed more shots. Condit wanted to retire, its bad business for him to leave with the belt. Belt goes to the champ win or lose unless KO'ed. They hyped up Condit and he actually did better than expected since he was suppose to lose by KO.
Noke vs Morono I could only find round 1. If Noke fought like that 3 rounds he should of had all 3 rounds. From what I hear Noke actually won. I guess I will parlay bet on the fake rising star Morono first few matches and he will get Ko'ed by a proper fighter. He couldnt take out Noke, but they are pushing him as a star because he only had 2 weeks "at his best hes unstoppable". I guess they wanted a Robbie lawler vs Condit victory but Morono didnt make the match close (according to what I hear). Regardless who win he gets the W. Unless a KO happens it goes to whoever they decide. Which is why Morono upset Noke to bring him attention.
Morono will face off against one of the many fighters in the division that are meant to lose against him. He goes higher in rank, gets overhyped with no real value except he fought goats, and they feed him to the lion. Winner beats Morono and fights the next contendor then the champ. Of course they try to manipulate the champ and they repeat the process.

Ronda is over hyped. Fight holm early she would be no where as popular and bring in so much attention. Guaranteed loss for Ronda. Strategic move for UFC. UFC plan not to have holm fight Ronda until Ronda gets hype armbaring fighters with no strength, striking or ground game. This is fact. Compare Ronda vs Holm and you already know Holm is better even before the matchup. Ronda armbaring these easy targets. They have holm fighting no names.
They choose who to fight not number 2 vs number 3. They give title shots randomly.
Paige vanzant, has no technical skill.(I bought the hype..) hyped her up for Rose (no way Paige beats Joanna). Rose fights her way up, beat the match ups then fights Joanna and gets beat. Karolina I think will work her way up and beat Joanna im still undesided because I havent seen her tapes but no one in the division can beat Joanna unless Karolina is a beast or they rig the fight.
Fighters that I believe are rigged in their favor next few fights even if they lose by a small margin - "up and comers"
Morono
Kish
Michael mcdonald
Ortega
Northcutt
They will be hyped till people think they are better than the champ then they will lose or make it to top 5.
