2024 Postseason - Padres@Dodgers Game 5

Padres +120

0-2 last two games, so tailing me might not be the best play.  If the Dodgers win, so be it, but I'm betting on Yu Darvish and the Padres bats.  Darvish's postseason 1.29 ERA (3.31 regular season) gives me more confidence than Yamamoto who allowed five earn runs in three inning in his last postseason start vs the Padres, which ended in a loss (5-7). Last game the Dodgers threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Padres, the Dodger's pitching staff is decimated by injuries, if they try another bullpen game, I don't think the Padres will be shutout again.

If the Padres lose this one....they will never beat the Dodgers in the playoffs moving forward as this is one of the worst Dodgers teams we have seen in recent memory win a division. Their team ERA is 5.40. They shouldn't win this series, but again, it comes down to if the Padres offence chokes again in this game. Yu will show up...but will his teammates?

Those should not be viewed as encouraging numbers for Padres bettors. Those should actually be viewed as deeply troubling.
