Mets have been killing the ball the past couple days while the Marlins have struggled at the plate. Bassistt has a slightly higher ERA than Lopez, but similar stats as far as innings/SO/walks. Both pitchers produce SO! But the difference in offenses the past 3 games; I think Bassitt will get the run support needed for the Victory. And he has some extra days rest due to Covid-protocol.
PIRATES- ML +185
I’m not a fan of Ashby myself. And the Pirates hit well against him the last time he faced them. Not surprisingly, since Pirates seem to hit Lefties well! Both Ashby and Brubaker have had their difficulties. But Brubaker has come around his last 3 starts going 2-0/3.5ERA. Ashby was tagged for 4 runs on 5 hits in his return from IL in 3-2/3 innings against Pirates last time out as the Pirates won 7-4 in that match. Prior to going on IL, Ashby was 0-2/8.4ERA. If the Pirates can get on top of him early on and produce some runs early, I think they have a strong chance to win. Provided Brubaker continues to gain momentum his current form.
KC ROYALS- ML -127
I like the Royals here at home with Singer on the mound against a struggling Cleveland offense. Singer is 2-0/4.3ERA against the Cleveland in 5 starts and 6 appearances. Civale is 0-1/5.75ERA in 4 career starts against the Royals. Cleveland is limping into KC after being swept by the Tigers in 4 straight! The Royals come home after going 1-3 on the road in Houston. Though they at least put the ball in play and scored a lot against the Astros. Great spot for Singer and the Royals at home to take advantage of the slumping Guardians at the moment.
