3:45 game..Dbacks at SF...upset city?

On this matinee event, I&#x27;m gettin the feeling that Mr. Enright can take down the Bummer (Bumgarner)...would be a nice dog price.

why do you think so? Bumgarner, who is 3rd in the NL in September with only a 1.0 ERA, has been spectacular his last 5 starts, and with this team playing with some confidence now, i would be weary. this is a VERY big game for the Giants, as they dont want to go into the Padres series with a 1 game lead.

But Enright hasn&#x27;t been that bad. Lots of times there are teams that are supposed to win, their motivation is supposed to be high, and yet I&#x27;ve seen them lose.&#xD;&#xA;At &#x2B;150 I&#x27;d balk, but gettin &#x2B;167, I think that&#x27;s a good price.

i may have to agree..i am a giants homer...but madbum for some reason different at home. than on the road. If this were in arizona, i would definitely take him, but at home, im not to sure. weird logic, i know.but i wouldnt use motivation as a factor when going against the giants. these guys are MOTIVATED

Really like the D-backs here. Bumgardner is a little off schedule having gotten an extra day of rest, it's a day game with the stadium likely to be half empty, they're looking ahead to San Diego, and most importantly, Enright is coming off an absolutely dominant performance that flew under the radar because they lost.

This is the D-backs last chance of the season to effect the playoffs, and I think they jump out early and hold on late.

Giants are in a must win situation. You guys are over looking the fact that the home team is going for the sweep today, and one thing to never do in baseball is bet against the home sweep, especially this late in the season. Also, the Giants are 47-30 at home this season. I don't think they can afford to lose. If they get the lead early, and are still up after 6 innings, it will be impossible for Az to come back. The Giants have an almost perfect record of winning at home when being up after 6.

stadium half empty?i highly doubt it...yes its a day game, but with 38k coming out last night, and the park being a 15 minute walk from downtown/financial district, i wouldnt be surprised if its pretty packed.

&#xD;&#xA;All true....but that&#x27;s why the price is so high. Do all the factors you just (rightly) mentioned justify -180. I&#x27;ve seen lots of heavy favs lose....could this be one of those times?

[/Quote]It probably has to do with them being at home, going for the sweep, and Giants are always chalky favorites at home. Last night Lincecum was like -190 or something. Safe play on this game is U 7.5 for &#x2B;105 on my book.

Enright got shelled last two outings on the road in Cincy and Pittsburgh, hard to back the dback or the under.  Enright did rebound with a good outing at home last outing though.

The Giants don&#x27;t have a high power offense like the Twins or the Rockies. If you saw last night they had a few base hits, and Burrell took advantage of a hanging pitch and took it out of the park. That is how the Giants score most of their runs. They play ABC baseball, they don&#x27;t get a lot of hits per game.

Lets look at this play from a different viewpoint...If the Giants and Padres both win today the Giants magic number will be 2. Looking forward to tomorrow nights game (Giants vs Padres) should the Giants win tomorrow they would be the NL West Champs then the regular season would be finished for the Padres with no drama forthcoming for the national broadcast on Fox TV on Saturday....

I am taking the D-Backs and Padres today in a small 2 team parlay and if this parlay loses, I will double up my bet on the Padres tomorrow night....

The point being made here is that the Pads vs Giants game on Saturday has to have some sort of relevance for TV ratings and baseball in general.

Take the Pads or the D-backs straight up today or take em in a parlay...up to you!!!!

I said the under . . . . . hit! I also took SF on the runline -1.5 just incase that "upset" whoever started this thread about never happened, which it didn't.

Parlayed SF -1.5 with U 7.5 runs. Another big win. I told you guys the Giants don't score a lot to begin with, and one thing they do well at home is keep the opponent form scoring.
