How much should I bet on a game?
i would say for a unit make it 50 or 100. then play 1 unit or 1/2 unit plays daily.
and if you ever have a pick you really like maybe sprinkle a little more on it daily. The goal is to finish plus money at the end of the season. Winning and losing streaks will come and go, but with sound MM and decent capping while being able to recognize value plays you should be able to finish a head of the game. Keep your bankroll in check and don't over extend yourself on too many games and you'll be fine. Might even make some money, or you'll figure out maybe you do have the knowledge and self control to do this thing and make a decent chunk of change.

i'd say like 1-4 bets a day. I'd limit yourself to 200 a day for the first couple weeks and get your feet wet with some 50 dollar and 25 dollar bets. They don't equal a ton of profit, but you can prefect you're capping skill risking 25 a lot more then when you risk 100 or more. When you start hitting 25-50 dollar bets on a consistent basis and have a feel for how you like handicap games and what you look for when making a selection, you will be able to tell how strongly you feel about a play and then risk more based on that information.

This question is relative to how much $5000 is to you in the first place. $5000 to me might be 10 times more money than $5000 to you. Better way is to bet $50 - $100 and see if you enjoy yourself.
If you are like most people, you have to conquer your own battle between fear and greed. Fear can make even a good capper turn more conservative and if you play scared you wont listen to your own reasoning . same thing with greed. (but worse)
Everybody chases and every body pushes.

THIS IS WHAT YOU RE LOOKING FOR.............
THIS IS WHAT YOU RE LOOKING FOR.............
when you cap a game the goal is to cap both sides how much you think one side will win by and the percentage they have to win the game. Say you cap the mariners with a 70% chance to win tonight, and the line is -120. You would simply use a line calculator to figure out that vegas thinks the mariners have a 54% chance of winning. Since you think the mariners have a 70% chance of winning you would make a higher wager on the game.
You have to mix a ton of factors to get a precentage basically what you're looking for is if the game is played 10 times how many times do you think the mariners would win. This would give you' the percentage for them to win a game.
