And it wasn't like any start he's had so far this year. Usually he's good and then fades off once his pitch count gets higher. He just didn't have anything going for him today.
He was great the first two innings. Then he got a little lazy with the 8&9 hitters and paid the price. He has to understand that you must take every at bat serious at this level. If you allow the awful hitters on it sets the stage for the good hitters to bat them in. Also he needs to work on how to handle adversity. All pitchers allow hits and runs...but its the pitchers who minimize the damage that have the best results. And early in his career he has shown that he tends to give up big innings instead of minimizing the damage.
