Any "Professional" Advice on COL, PIT, and HOU for 6.12.13?

Been capping a lot of games for free over the course of the last 3 days trying to break out of a .500 slump thats been chipping away at the bankroll. MLB is a marathon as the seasoned vets know, and I think I'm finally caught up to speed on the full values of teams in MLB (STL and AZ in the NL, NYY and DET in the AL for NLCS and ALCS imo)...really thinking about making some moves on

Once I get going I know I'll get on a hot streak, just a friendly finger in the right direction is all I'm looking for.

FFT. If .500 ball is costing you money you are playing favorites. The teams you have pegged for honor, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Yankees and Tigers, are all vastly popular public favorites that will lay serious juice if their success continues. Looking at underachievers like Houston is not a bad idea this time of year as they will draw overlays. Caution on the Rockies and Pirates, both have flaws that could be fatal. JMHO. BOL

COL ML -185: We come into this game knowing that the edge goes to Jorge De La Rosa and company at home in a hitters park.

De La Rosa is sporting a 5-0 record at home with a 3.15 era at home...BUT his last three starts have been rocky allowing 22 of his 37 hits over that span. He DID have a cut on his finger last time out. But also consider that at night games he is 3-3 with a 5.10 ERA, something to be wary of. Looking past his start against SD in which COL ultimately won, this seems like a prime spot to either lay the juice or go RL on Colorado as the Nationals hit for crap against lefties...worst in the league.

Also consider that Ohlendorf hasn't started this season, but his last 4 starts he gave up 22 runs over a 1-3 span...the lone win against one of the worst cubs teams I've seen in years (and that says a lot).

ANYONE got a reason to fade Col or lay off?

Indeed, this time last year I was sharing a 5dimes account with 3 roomates just picking winners when we played. This time I'm gaming every day and finally have caught onto the "value" plays. Thanks for posting early and often, your statistical analysis is SPOT on and if MLB was by the #'s you'd be at 70%.

Going to pay alot more attention to situations myself, and not who SHOULD win.

PIT - 190: Pittsburg has gone 4-6 in the last 10. BUT they were going against ATL and CIN before they had a crack at the cubbies. In Liriano's last start the offense gave him zero support and the Buc's lose 2-0.

Can this happen again against SF? I think if the game is in San Fran there is no reason to touch this Zito's gotten run support and pitched well. On the road Barry sports a 10.19 ERA and 28 of his 39 runs. Zito is also 0-2 at night.

On the Flip side at home Liriano is 2-1 with a .96 era with two runs allowed.

With Sandoval out and the rest of the starting lineup in question is there any reason to lay off of PIT ML? Advisable to go RL? Thoughts?

HOU +130: Write up pending, have a to actually get back to work. Thoughts on this game are appreciated. Just to throw it out there, HOU has already taken 2 series from SEA, and Lyles on the road has a 2.55 era and sports a 3-1 record.

Last 6 games HOU has hit bricks not scoring over 3 runs...

On the other hand Bonderman gets blasted for 10 runs against the Twins but then shuts the Yankees down...inigma.

I think the +130 is a decent value to take this game at...anyone out there who's on a hot streak wanna throw some knowledge my way?

The one start by Bonderman was awesome.  Should not bounce here in 2nd home start vs Stros. I thnik M's can get to 4+ runs.

Thanks to all for the thoughts. I'm going to stay off the Pirates and Houston games as I just have little faith in their offense right now.

I think Liriano can bring the game to the UNDER total, but if he's going to start falling off now is the time. with the gross mismatch of Zito on the road I will lay off.

With Houston I really really really want to play this game, but after asking around and getting a lot of negative response now does not like the time to gamble.

I'm very, verrry, verrrry confident on Colorado at home blasting the nationals.

if you take Pirates, take thier RL. i think this game can be ugly. if Pirates win tonight, they will overcome 2 runs deficit at least. i think Rockies will win, so Giants have a great value as a dog, sounds silly though.

Oscar De La Rosa can hurl, and Mr Ohlendorf, even though he's gotten it done a few years ago, might get lit up like the Rockerfella Christmas tree.

plus there is another trend on Rockets tonight. basically it is about Jordan Lyles,

Jordan Lyles has produced a team record 1-18 in his career if he threw at least 99 pitches last game.

this can be amazing trend, price ranging 130-155, there were 6 games roughly, he won only 1 game, 5 lost, 1 UNDER, 5 OVER. Jeremy Bonderman is a concern, though. maybe OVER is the play. OVER or Mariners ML, one of two will be free cash. this game's result will be interesting
