Are the White Sox +260 worth a shot today?

Braves off a doubleheader, with a 1-off day game today against the lowly White Sox, then fly back home tonight for a series against Pitt.

This could be a game the Braves have little interest in. Chris Sale has a 5.09 ERA in the month of June (mostly due to 8 runs given up against the A's), but he does have losses against some poor teams this year - A's, Nats and Marlins. I'm seeing Kuhl listed as the CWS pitcher today, he most recently gave up 2 ERs in 4.1 innings.

If this were any other team, than the White Sox, I'd bite at this number. Thoughts?

Personally, as a result of that key info above that you posted, I would exercise caution and wait to see the pregame batting lineups before betting!

Chris sale should be highly motivated facing the white sux who he played for the 1st 7 years of his career. i don't think the braves lose this one but you could still get the white sux +1.5+160 if you think they can hang with them.

I agree with Fubah and Chicubs...I'd bet +1.5 at plus money if anything 

Kuhl is anything but cool. 6 runs, 8 hits allowed in 8 innings this season

Chris Sale is 14-0 since July 2018 when the total is under 10 after he allowed 2 or fewer hits last start.

Take Atlanta -1.5, as this could be yet another shutout against the WSox. WSox have the worst offense and were shut out 2 of the last 3 games.

Based on the comments, and having looked a little closer, starting to think Sale will have a great outing today. Pulled the below from another site

• Sale will try to go five or more innings for his fourth straight start. He's averaging 6.2 innings per outing.
• The opposing White Sox offense has a collective .218 batting average, and is last in the league with 586 total hits and last in MLB action with 246 runs scored. It has the worst slugging percentage (.341) and ranks 27th in home runs (69) in all of MLB.

Sale gave up 5 earned in one game in Boston vs the WSox in 2019. Not sure if the wind blows out there on that day.....or the WSox peppered the monster.

This WSox lineup is BRUTAL. And Sale will show no mercy. He should dominate.....as long as he doesn't get hurt.

Guys are looking for something from a horrible baseball team to bet on. If you like throwing money away, invest in the lottery. A lot cheaper

I truly believe when the white Sox players show up to the ballpark, all they're doing is going through the motions and thinking about heading out to the riverboats after they shower and change

This type of situation is usually an auto-fade of the road team, only happens once in a blue moon. I turned gun-shy and couldn't pull the trigger here

 Not even only that. Braves probably would have much rather not stopped

in chicago for this game on an off day and flew directly home after playing

18 innings yesterday.
