Matt Koch surprised everyone yesterday holding the Brewers to one run yesterday since he was blasted for 8 by the Brewers one week ago. Today, Zach Godley takes the mound for Arizona. Godley doesn't have to be the exact type of pitcher Koch is to learn where and what pitches to throw to the Brewers. I'm sure Zach Godley was taking notes yesterday as Matt Koch turned his performance around from one week ago. Godley only allowed one earned run in 6 innings against the Mets in his last outing which isn't too bad. I didn't notice and signs of the team quitting yesterday especially when the centerfielder robbed Santanna of a 3 run shot. The Arizona bullpen should be ready to save a game with Boxberger rested. The Brewer bullpen is not rested. Josh Hadr pitched 2 quality innings yesterday and won't be available today. Matt Albers pitched two straight days, and won't be successful a 3rd day in a row. Kneble will be ready, but he needs Suter to pitch 7 strong innings. Jeffress could pitch the 8th, and Knebel the 9th. But Suter won't last 7 innings today. At least that's my prediction. Even with Suter's recent successes, it doesn't beat a hungry Arizona team not wanting to be swept. I get the feeling, Arizona wants this game today alot more than the Brewers. My evidence is that Counsell is leading off for the 1st time all year, Hernan Perez and benching Lorenzo Cain. What? It's like throwing in the towel when you don't have to. Also, Jett Bandy , the nonhitting catcher is playing today. The Brewers don't have their best lineup and they don't have their best bullpen ready today. Seems like a formula to lose for the Brewers today...
