Three multiple run leads blown out of the four losses. Can't get more frustrating than that. But wait, this is only the beginning of baseball so I guess I better get used to it! The only consolation in playing and losing with dogs, is the fact that they lost too.
1-4 -300 yesterday
15-12 +415 ytd
Oakland +106 Boston may be waking up.
Not too many choices. Will sleep on it and see if it looks better in the morning.
Good luck everybody!

tin for the win! better luck today, tin! the good news is rodney pitched last night so he probably won't be in to destroy your a's play. lol. i think that will be the only way to cap them from now on.
No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing

"playing and losing with dogs", IS NO, "consolation".
WINNING...whether with dogs, OR, with favorites, is THE ONLY answer/solution.
I'd rather target, predominantly favorites(and paying the extra juice)...and win...
...rather than chase toothless ??'s, just for the "glory", of "possibly" boasting afterwards, while, for the most part, emptying my pockets.
So what is "predominately favorites"? What is your range -150, -200 or more? I have never chirped after winning with dogs and I don't bet them so I can boast of any glory. If you're playing predominate favorites exclusively, you will lose in the long run. The Covers graveyard is littered with many that played the favorites and lost in the end. Just for information purposes, I rarely play a favorite over -122, maybe up to -125. If I really like a big favorite, I'll play the run line to reduce the juice and that has to be either even or plus $. Maybe you should start posting your plays on a daily basis. I'll be possibly there everyday to wish you luck but I WILL NEVER be there after the fact, to tell you, "you lost".

If I was a manager in the bigs, I'd literally let my starter go until he couldn't grip a baseball. Then I'd consider going to my gaspen.
It's quite freightning how poor most of the relief pitching is today. Half the guys can't throw a strike.
I'll be looking at 1st 5 plays more often than not going forward
You're right on the state of (starting and relief) pitching. Nolan Ryan referenced today's pitchers as pampered and without toughness. The days of the 10-11 man staff with four starters and a fifth "long reliever" that would pitch in a doubleheader or come in before the fifth inning to get to the 7th inning (if needed) so the "closer" could come in and finish the game are long gone. I guess the amount of money being paid to pitchers dictate the short stints of the starters. Which then dictate the amount of relief pitchers you need to be competitive.
