Yankees  +150

Mets over 8  -112

These openers are casing a lot of nolays due to late replacements for scheduled starters. Have to wait for the dust to settle to finish off the card.

Hi, just new to this bet site, here in europe, we dont have -100 or +150, can you please explain me +150 Yankees meaning?

Greetings blast90! The +150 means you win $150 on a $100 wager if the Yankees win the game. If the line was Yankees -150, you would have to risk $150 to win $100 if the Yankees won the game. A -100 line is the same as a +100 line. It's an even bet meaning you're risking $100 to win $100. Hope this helps.

Oh now I get it, but I'm wondering how Red Sox are favorites in today game since they have bad loss streak last 10 games. :)

I put my money on Red Sox to win 1st inning tonight thats the way I bet on MLB :)

It just makes more sense than books listing the odds as "3 to 2". Let's say for instance you have a matchup that's -167. Written as ratio odds, that'd be something like 3 to 5. It can get ridiculous. To people who grew up going to race tracks it's not that big of a deal but the moneyline system just simplifies everything.

And it makes tracking line movement easier. If I say a game went from 3/5 to 3/4, what does that mean to a novice? How much movement is that? If I say it went from -167 to -133, it's as clear as day.

We have different system

 

Example Win on Yankees is 2.35 so if you bet 100$ you will get back 235$ and if you bet on Red Sox 1.60 you will get 160$ back.

The starting pitchers are the most important aspect of betting baseball..

For instance, if a soccer team is #1 in the league and have an all star goalie. He gets hurt and now they have to use a guy from the B league. Odds will be smaller.
