I know genius when I see it. This guy is playing 5D chess when everybody is playing checkers. Look how brilliant he is. Logan Webb pitched eight super solid innings and only had 93 pitches. He was in a groove.
So the obvious thing to do is let him come out for the ninth. But no, no no, Melvin is too smart for that. He says, let me bring in a gas can reliever against the shitty White Sox. I must tell you, that is absolutely brilliant!
And of course, because it’s such a brilliant move, the gas can gives up four runs in the top of the 9th. I hope this guy manages for the next 50 years. The fans truly don’t understand how lucky they are to see a genius like this. Thank you Bob!
