Not a Boras fan, but modern day baseball has devalued guys like Alonso.  He&#x2019;s coming off a year where he hit .240 with a .780 ops.  The year before he hit .217 with an .820 ops.  He&#x2019;s 30, he&#x2019;s fat as shit, what&#x2019;s the upside?  Back to back pretty jaggish campaigns.  He&#x2019;s been healthy so he&#x2019;s a compiler stat wise.  But he&#x2019;s likely not going to age well, his skill sets are already showing signs of decline.  He likely priced himself out of a lot of jobs for inflated self worth.
