...how someone like Tex who has played baseball for probably his entire life, can&#x27;t push a bunt down the 3rd base line with that shift on??? It&#x27;s not like Verlander is pounding him inside...he&#x27;s all over the place. No discipline at all

Selfish players....&#xD;&#xA;I cant tell you how many time Adam Dunn could have started rallys and kept them going if he bunted...&#xD;&#xA;The shift is so severe, that all they have to do is get the ball down and its a single no doubt....&#xD;&#xA;Yes, I realize they are homerun hitters, but bunt often enough and they will take the shift away opening holes for hits the rest of the season....

&#xD;&#xA;The 3rd baseman is playing short-stop or even closer to 2nd base...&#xD;&#xA;If they bunt to the right side of the pitcher they can walk to 1st base

I just started a similar thread. Totally agree. it blows my mind that someone who plays baseball for a living can't make contact in that general direction.

Bunting isn't easy, but this doesn't even have to be a bunt, just a blocked swing to that side of the field. Crazy they can't do that with a runner on first.
