They are listing Starting Pitchers last 5 performances and for the ERA they aren't calculating it to a 9 inning game as ERA's always are . For instance if a guy has 1 earned run in 1 inning for his last 5 performances they will show this ERA as 1.00, instead of the 9.00 it should be. I've sent them 10 e-mails and they still haven't corrected it. they are clueless.

Well, no, since an ERA is DEFINED as over 9 inning...its so fucking funny because all these shitty pitchers have ERA's like 1.20 over their last 5 games when they allowed 6 in their last one!

Seriously, Covers' behavior over the last several years is somewhat baffling. This place is going downhill and they don't seem to care - it's almost like they want that to happen. Maybe they do. Think about what has happened over the last few years - sports betting is now legal in most parts of the US and the sports betting industry is BOOMING. And yet, during this same period of time, Covers, which is a website devoted to everything to do with sports betting, is in steep decline. The drop in active users is pretty glaring to anyone that spends any time in the forums. If Covers was any good at all, their user base probably would have almost doubled over the last couple of years. It hasn't. And then when we give them feedback, they don't listen and don't respond.
For me, the last straw was when they changed their MLB matchup pages. I'd already resorted to getting most of my NBA, CFB and NFL info and stats from other sources, because Covers info wasn't reliable, but their MLB stuff was reliable, extensive and user friendly. When they decided to change the MLB matchup pages, there were countless posts and emails sent telling them that the changes were not user friendly, missing info, etc... We asked them to bring back certain features - they didn't even respond or acknowledge that they heard us. They completely ignored us and plowed ahead with the new format.
And so myself, like the thousands before me, stopped relying on Covers for stats and info. Obviously, this means that I spend much less time on Covers now - I estimate I'm spending 90% less time on the website now than I was 2 months ago, before they changed the MLB matchup pages. But they don't seem to care. Which makes no sense to me, but perhaps I'm missing something. Maybe they have some motive for intentionally failing their users and failing as a company - I don't know. But honestly, if I was running Covers, I guarantee I could have doubled their user base and probably their revenue over the last 2 years, just by making very simple but effective changes.
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.
