This is the most pathetic display of offense I have ever seen...bases loaded no outs in the bottom of the 11th inning and you can't get a run across the plate...downright awful...start planning for free agency Mr. Epstein.

Coming from a Rays fan, I must admit that is inexcusable. And then Burrell makes them pay with a 2-run jack in the 12th.

Yeah, Pat Burrell of all people...Sox finish 3rd in the division this year

and Burrell beats them.  that's adding insult to injury.
i had the red sox and the over in that one yesterday.  that rain couldn't have come at a better time.

Ah lets not panic yet. It still is the 2nd week. They still have 8 more straight at home. The lightning rod at the top of the order ellsbury has been out for 4 games. As a Sox fan if you thought they were going to be better than the Yankees and win the division you are an idiot. They have to finish with a better record than the Rays. I find it hard to believe the wild card will not come out of the East again this year. If they win tonight they will be 2 games behind the Rays. Nothing to be worrying about yet. If this is the worst offense you have ever seen then lets switch lineups with the O's and see what your saying after 2 games

I don't care what you guys say, and I'm no front runner, I'm 25 and have been a sox fan since I can remember.

But what I'm saying is, I know it's April, but you can not lose games like this. Stupid base running yesterday (albeit it was Bogar's fault) and then you have bases loaded no outs against your division rival, with a chance for one of the easiest walk offs you could ever have, and you blow it. That's unacceptable.

Its not like bases loaded no outs and no runs never happens. What do you want. Shit happens. When your coming out with Ortiz in your lineup with the bases loaded and no outs im sorry im expecting a strike out. This guy is AWFUL. Then all you need is a single double play which happens all the time and guess what it happend again. Im not shocked at all i saw that. GET ORTIZ OUT OF THE LINEUP

I agree Ortiz should be out, but this team needs a bat...I understand it happens, but it shouldn't happen in the bottom of the 11th inning against one of your toughest competitors for the division/wild card, It can't happen...good baseball teams win those games

Yes it is, still doesn't make me feel any better about the Sox though...frustration has set in, plenty of time to turn it around you're right...

And yes I did think we could compete for the division crown, with that pitching staff, we should be able to with an average offense.

Looks like Tek is becoming Beckett's personal catcher too, I like it.
