Giants are 3-3 when playing at home
with all this being said, might be bias, but im taking the Giants in game 1, Verlander is a heavy favorite and with the stats he shows on paper not a surprise. One thing i will say in the big moments that i have bet on Verlander this year this guy has cost me, so i can't back him in this scenario. Especially with his terrible record after long rest. I think Giants will strike before the Tigers and put some pressure and some deja vu back in Verlander's head and take this game 1. Not to mention Zito has been pitching his brains out lately too, and he also had the 3rd highest run support out of all pitchers in the league this year. ZITO FOR PRESIDENT!
