I know i'm a few days late but I didn't hear about this until last night.
If you want to get payback by throwing the ball at him and throwing punches than fine. The thing is, you were in Toronto just recently for three games. Why didn't you do anything than?. Why do you have to wait until you get back to your house to act all tough?.
It's like a hockey team in a NHL playoff series who's tough guy doesn't want to fight in game 1 and 2 away but once he gets home, he wants to drop the gloves.

It is like the media has created this notion that if you want payback you must do it immediately or it is cowardly. I think it is hilarious. Why does your local sports talk dork think he can dictate the terms of payback between two baseball teams. Bautista got his face smashed and that is what you get for your ridiculous bat flip. I don't see the problem.

It's always hilarious to me as to what a bunch of pu.s.sies the players are nowadays and how the rules have changed so drastically. I was looking at a picture the other day of Ty Cobb sliding into home and he wasn't sliding on the ground. He was airborne, feet first, metal spikes going right into the catchers knees. Did it cause a fight? Probably but I have no idea. Bob Gibson and Don Drysdale OWNED the inside part of the plate and if you don't like, they didn't give a da.mn. Nolan Ryan pounding on Robin Ventura's head, etc, etc. MLB has become sooooo watered down and guys like Harper want to make the game more exciting by acting like obnoxious a-holes. Go back 50 years ago and someone like Frank Howard would have beat the living cr.ap out of Bryce for acting like a fricking child. The only thing mlb is good for anymore if for making money on and it is one of the easiest sports do so with

Gutless is a better term. No one is saying you have to get retrbution at the first opportunity but waiting until the last possible opportunity could be considered cowardly when you know you wont have to face the team again this season. If Bautista was hit in Toronto or even game 1 or 2 in Texas the melee on Sunday probably doesnt happen. He may have charged the mound or just took his medicine. Bautista went hard into odor because he knew this would be his last chance at retribution for being drilled.
The Rangers also had Matt "ill have another" Bush to do the dirty work instead of the guy who got lit up in game 5. Little Dammy Dyson
At the end of the day the proximate cause of all of this is the Texas Rangers. They had 2 chances to close the series in Texas and couldnt do it. Andrus committed 3 errors in the 7th inning of game 5 and Dyson could not do his job and simply get Bautista out. Result home run and an epic bat flip which was unique to the circumstances surrounding it.
FYI, Desmond bat flipped after his home run on Sunday i assume everyone was ok with that? And for the purists go google Mike Scmidts celebration after he hit his 500th home run.

bautista made me lose so much money, when odor landed that punch to him, i felt relieved (even though odor made me lose money also, but still i feel like i am even with bautista now)
