Does Weather in baseball give an advantage to a low scoring or high scoring game? I love the over in the CHW/DET game but I heard its going to rain so just asking to see if weather plays a role

To tell you the truth I dont know but there HAS to be an answer. I always assumed the under was a lock when it rains at a stadium but it always seems to go over. Hopefully someone has more insight...

The ball doesn't travel as far the colder temperatures vs warmer temperatures....I think when it's wet it seems to help the over in my opinion....as a hitter it wouldn't be as counterproductive to hit the ball on wet ground as it would be for a pitcher to throw a pitch or a fielder to field a ball, at least thats the way it seems to me

I have no information on trends or stats, but I can tell you that it gets much much harder as a hitter when it is raining, especially when combined with cold weather. I would say it has to favor the under.

works both ways, cold is always good for under. rain as mentioned is hard to hit in but can also break pitchers rhythms and delays for starters out early. obviously it pays to know wind as well

honestly i think it goes towards more of the teams . but i like to think over is more favorable in rain for the fact that there should be a couple more errors and ball gets faster and heavier in the rain, when it snows definately gotta favor the under, if you've ever played baseball when its 30-40 degrees you'll know why

i would be concerned about the starting pitchers . . . for instance, the mariners may have felix hernandez slated to start in detroit, but with rain in the forecast, if you get a delay in innings 2-5, it's very unlikely that you will see felix after the delay, thus you are paying a price to back felix, but get batista and jakubasukas instead. just one school of though, and certainly not the only school.
