The Mets come to the st Louis for thai make up game they have to take it the plane from Anaheim just for one measly make up game whereas st Lewis only had to come from Chicago which not too far.  Also this for season series currently 3-2 Mets so st Louis more motivational to win. And tie series for playoff implicating tie breaks. Mets very likely to sleepwalking this particular game and save their resources for the series at colors field in Denver

You may be right and the lines dropped considerably toward your theory but at best this game looks like a coin toss. Manaea had a solid July era of 2.70 and a 3.17 road era on the season. The Cards have lost Pallantes last 3 starts. Cards offense drops off vs lefties. Podcast this morning said Goldschimdt is playing with a sore back and Areanado has been accused of taking plays off his reasoning  he's not felt right. Mets should not be happy losing 2 of 3 to the Angels. I'm not on either side I hope you win.  I disagree. Cardinals made really good trades before the deadline and will finish in front of the Pirates, Cubs, and the last place Reds.

1-3 since the trade deadline and they have a brutal stretch coming with 8 of the next 10 series against top opponents.
