Oh what could have been yesterday! The Braves demolished the RL against the Phillies. The Mariners/Indians game had a seven run 2nd inning before finally getting to 10 runs in the 7th inning. The Yankees continued their streak in a close game. But the White Sox, well that dropped ball by Palka with two out in the bottom of the fifth, followed by a three run homer the very next pitch completely ruined the parlay I had with the Yankees. Quite an ugly way to lose for sure.
But that's yesterday's news. Time to turn the page to Monday!
YTD 6-7 (-3.36 units)
Single picks:
Indians RL +112 over Rangers: Hammels was absolutley pounded in two meeting vs the Indians last year and Bauer pitched well in his start against the Rangers last year. Given how both pitchers have fared this season, give me Bauer and the RL.
Blue Jays RL +163 over Twins: Sanchez has been decent in his starts this year where as Lynn has been hit on way more often than not. I have to think the Jays bats will do enough to cover the RL.
Rays/Tigers OVER 10.5 +160: I know the line for this game is 8.5. However with Jordan Zimmerman on the hill for the Tigers, that line is WAY too low. Consider in his four starts this year (where he didn't come out of the game early due to injury) there has been a total of 23, 16, 21 and 23 runs scored respectively. Add to that Faria for the Rays hasn't been very good either, well this should turn into a football game.
Two team parlay: Rays/Tigers OVER 9.5 and Brewers ML -115 over Reds (two units):
The OVER in the Rays/Tigers for the reasons stated above and the Brewers with Chacin on the hill vs a highly suspect Finnegan for the Reds. Give me the more effective pitcher here.
Best of luck with your picks today!

Good luck Nice write ups. I prefer to avoid betting bad teams like Brewers and Reds. So not sure I would put Brewers in a parlay. Hopefully Reds pitching stays true to form for you.

This is more a reflection of Finnegan being terrible this year and Chacin being steady. That and Brewers have actually been one of the better teams for the picks I have made this year.
I also thought that an over 10.5, or a RL in a parlay could be risky as well. Best of luck with your picks today as well Vixen.

Unfortunatley, I'm on the otherside of the Rays/Tigers.. this is my big play today.. not sure why other than picking against the obvious. If every amature handicapper had to wager on the Rays/Tigers Total, my guess is 75% of the money would be on the over. Not saying youre an amature.. just letting you know im an idiot. Good luck but i hope you lose lol

Well Mikey, things can always happen and it was a full moon last night. I guess for me it just comes down to Zimmerman seemingly being rocked in almost every start he's had and his starts turning into football games. If he turns in a shutout today, then I will simply have to tip my cap to him.
