First loss of the week yesterday going 1-2 -$340. But after a 7-1 run you can't expect to be perfect. Still can't believe Edwin Jackson blanked the Cards. Guess he was taking out revenge on his old squad. Should've stayed away from that one. Anyways, looking to bounce back here tonight!
Today's (7.12) Card...
ARI (Corbin) 320/200
--- Dbacks bats have been cold lately. But, Corbin has still been pitching with excellent command. On the opposing mound, Gorzelanny has been solid in his last couple outings, but I am going to go with the Better team @ Home (25-19) with Corbin who has been solid almost ALL year so far. In 9 home starts he is: (6-0, 1.56 ERA, 0.93 and .184 BAA) and I can him continuing his home dominance against an inferior opponent without their best player (Braun) in the line-up.
BOS (Lackey) 100/100
-- Lackey is having arguably his best start to a season in his career. He has been Boston's only reliable starter this year and I have to like his odds at even money. I know that Oakland has been on fire vs. BOS at home, and that Boston is most likely fatigued from their extra inning battles with the Mariners. But I still see Boston coming out victorious in this one. Jarrod Parker has proven he's a beast, but I like BOS bats and Lackey to take care of this one.
SEA (Saunders) 100/135
-- Saunders has pitched lights out lately, and has been very good against his former team in the past, just losing due to lack of run support. I see him getting this W tonight, because I doubt that SEA bats will "lack run support" vs a shaky Jerome Williams. I am taking a risk betting on a team as hot as the Angels (just won on the Wilson's last start), but I have lost a few times betting on Jerome, and I am hoping to get some of that $ back tonight fading him with the red hot Saunders.
BOL everyone!
