Full game line betting a waste of money?

Question

Almost a month in and I am remembering the hazards of relying on bullpens to hold leads.

You can't even call these losses mooses as on any given day a bullpen or closer is as likely to blow a lead as not.

Time to stick to 1st 5 innings for lines and if I am going full game, bet the totals - usually over unless the starters show they can get a game into the 8th or so.

It will go on forever like this.Too many teams in the league.Starting pitchers don&#x27;t last more than 6 inning anymore really.So teams have a pitcher for each of the last 3 innings.Not all 3 are going to be good enough everyday.

completely depends on the teamLets say you have the yankees with sabathia or kuroda starting- they both go deep into games and have robertson and rivera in the back end so I would be the full game in this spot. With a team like Detroit their bullpen is infested with 80s AIDS so I will usually bet them on the 5 inning line.With big dogs I also like to bet the 5 inning line bc  1)their pen is usually trash2)the shorter the game the better chance a big dog as of being competitive

Too many pushes with first five inning lines. Nothing worse than having a game right but getting a push or loss because you took first five innings

Yeah - after the fiasco the last couple of days - notably Houston last night where I first lost the RL, then ML in the space of 5 batters unless the starter averages 8 innings, or there is a "good" pen going against a bad one, full game is a no bet for me.

Quality start means nothing anymore.

people also love to cry when they lose a game they were ahead in early and forget all the games they would have lost if the game ended in the fifth
