4-2-2
Here's what I'm liking today boys and girls. I'm actually debating 8 plays. Thats probably a horrible idea.
Tigers ML -170 I've already locked this one in
Oakland -135
Red Sox -145
St. Louis/KC over 9.5
Atlanta/Toronto over 8.5
Cubs +120
Reds +105
Seattle/San Diego over 8
Tigers ML
-Not overthinking this one. Great home squad trying to get to .500 for the season with a hot pitcher going against a team on a losing streak with an inconsistent LH pitcher. Tigers usually kill lefties. I wish I could change the play and take the Tigers 1st 5 innings because the Tigers bullpen is bad and Francis has a nack for getting lit early but oh well, the play is in. i think the bats will be hot all day.
Oakland
-A's have been dominating the Giants. Oakland swept its last two series against San Francisco and allowed just seven runs in that stretch. They only gave up 1 yesterday. Both pitchers are sick but the A's have the better lineup and home field. Now maybe if Lincecum was a lefty I would consider taking the Giants here. The under 3.5 1st 5 could be a play here too, or the under 7. i don't see alot of runs being scored in this one.
Red Sox
-John Lester. Red Sox have a better pitcher and a better lineup, I see no reason not to back them at this price.
St. Louis/KC over 9.5
-i posted some comments in Search Warrants thread earlier. I'll copy and paste. I actually understand the logic to St. Louis backers, but won't be backing them. Davies will get hit today. just like the White Sox got a 2nd chance at Dempster, the Cards get a second crack at Davies and i think they will lite him up. I still don't think taking the Cardinals is a good idea though. Like Bator said, the royals are smoking hot, not over-valued, and have been killing teams, not just winning. Their bats are hot hot hot and they aren't exactly facing a cy young winner here. You guys think the streak will end with Boggs on the mound? I'll give you a MAYBE. But a maybe isn't worth trying to predict when one of the hottest teams in baseball will lose at only +110. I won't back a side here, and I would give the Cardinals a small chance because I know they will score runs, but seriously if I read tonight that the Royals were down like 7-2 and came back and won I wouldn't be surprised at all. In my mind, the best play for this game is the over 9.5. Royals hot bats against a shitty pitcher, against the Cards seeing Davies for the 2nd time in a short time frame looks good to me.
Atlanta/Toronto over 8.5
Cubs ML
-This is a fade of Vasquez. I don't like him, I think he is below average. The Cubs had no problem with him last time and I don't think they will this time ether. Cubs take the sandwhich game and then lose tomorrow. Gallagher has been very solid lately, and Marmol seems to have gotten his control a little better, at least, thats what I've read. Cubs should be able to use both Wood and Marmol late, and I expect them to have the lead after the 1st 5.
Reds ML
-Cueto is pitching great. After that meeting with the coaches he has been lights out. Bird meanwhile has been just so so, and I expect the Reds to bring max effort today after being shutout yesterday. After seeing CC for most of the game yesterday, Bird should be batting practice.
Seattle/San Diego over 8
Ok so yesterday it was 5-2 Seattle and in this game both teams bring out worse pitchers. Seattle is a team on the rise. laugh if you want but I like they way they are playing right now, I really think all those changes the organization made have lit a fire. Baek's arm seemed to get tired in his last game, and I expect him to get lit up today. Silva meanwhile I'm pretty sure is the worst pitcher in the majors this year? that's not an actual fact, but he has been really really bad. San Diego should bring max effort trying to stop this losing streak, and I think this game will go over 8 runs easy.
I would really appreciate some comments/advice/whatever. BOL today fellas
