Okay, dumb question. When I look at a particular pitchers stats, at the end of the individual pitcher's game stat line, it says G/F followed by a number, quite often a number with decimals. What is that? Ground ball- fly ball ratio? Thanks!

Sounds like you are looking at ground balls allowed divided by fly balls allowed. ...certain pitches statistically lead to certain hits, advantages/disadvantages in certain ball parks, etc...beyond my capping skills lol. Hope that helps. BOL

@michaeltodd
In general the higher G/F the better for pitchers last couple of season. Loads of flyouts can mean, that they can struggle in batters friendly ballparks or when the wind is blowing out (higher home run possibility).
But this season it is not that easy - shift ban made ground balls more difficult to catch. So pitchers with high G/F can be the most affected by rules changes.
