Seriously, I want someone to talk me out of it. I feel like a sucker, but I don't think I can lay off of it. I want to bet it big too.
My problem is, I feel like it's a sucker bet because it seems "TOO EASY".
Guthrie: 5-0 with a 1.19 ERA in his last 5 starts
Hudson: 0-5 with a 5+ and hasn't won a start since August 22nd
Home team has won every game 7 since 1979. Which is kind of irrelevant to this particular game, but it does account for something… I think.
Plus, just the feel around KC right now. The momentum… the energy in that crowd… the cinderella story. It just feels like the script is written. I guarantee they don't let up, look at the fight that they've put up in every single game since late September. Scratching, clawing for every run and every out. Never giving up, overcoming adversity in that one game playoff and then dominating in the ALDS and ALCS.
The timely hitting, the starting pitching, the bullpen, the defense, etc… They're the walking definition of a World Series champion team that caught absolute fire at the right time.
I feel like a sucker… but I don't think I can lay off. I'm 10-1 betting them in the post-season. I think I might have to ride them big one last time.
But please, feel free to talk me out of this. I'm all ears.
