Emotional scenes.
End of an era.
Understand the disappointment of the fans but by all accounts it was a very uninviting stadium with poor facilities.
Despite its flaws it was still a part of growing up watching baseball.

And they may have fans, but not fans willing to pay for tickets....the stadium was empty most nights for many many years...not only that, no one stepped up and wanted to spend the money to rebuild the coliseum...it's the communities fault that this happened, combined with the fact that the team didn't have paying fans...if they were filling the stadium and making money this never happens and the Coliseum is resurrected....as a result, it was not, and there she goes....
I'm not confident the team pulls in the fans in Vegas either, except those die hard baseball fans that don't mind going to see a game no matter what...not sure teh fan base changes much because they don't have anything to be excited about...
But in relation to the Coliseum, that place was a shit hole each time I went and throughout the years you could see it falling apart and nothing was done about it...you don't see that in other places where a team has full on support from the city, the fans and those who liver there...

I was their 31 years ago and it was a disaster then.
The stadium is not located in an inviting neighborhood and ownership didn't do enough to really win.
That caused the fans and the local community/mayor, city council to lose interest .
The big money on Sand Hill Rd was 1 hour away and never got motivated to buy from this dope Fisher.

I had the serendipitous good fortune of being there to see the Jeter Flip in person...I lived in San Francisco at the time, worked in Silicon Valley (Santa Clara). My Texas Ex Friends and I watched my Texas Longhorns get pummeled by Oklahoma that morning. I told my friends that the Yankees were in town for Game 3 of a 5 game set. We got cheap seats in Mount Davis in right field. It was an electric atmosphere. Tight game...late 8th or 9th inning its 1-0 Yankees. Jeremy Giambi is either on 2nd or 3rd. Its hit under us in right field, the right fielder hits the cut off man, who throws it to Jeter who is standing like 10 feet from home plate. Derrick does not have time to turn and throw to get Giami, so he flips it to the catcher, and Giambi gets called out at home. The game ends 1-0 Yankees, and they win the next two to win the series, and then go on to win the World Series. When Jeter gets inducted in the HOF in Cooperstown, this will be played...one of the most clutch and impactful plays in MLB History. - LHH

Anyone know how affected the logos and colours get after relocation ? Hope the A logo isn’t modernised too much , maybe that’s just me , seems iconic , I like the green and yellow too

I dunno. Grass is greener there....
I don't think Las Vegas is a forever city for anyone, let alone a sports team. Doesn't it get like 110 degrees there in summer? Maybe they play inside an air conditioned dome on plastic grass or rolled in turf. The Copa America teams that played there hated the grass, called it the worst fields ever.....and fans were uncontrollable.
LV Raiders are getting more fights in the stands than when they were in California.
Interesting....I give it 10 years before they get tired of LV. Walking around LV in the day, you see the reality.....I wish them luck. A very influential and historical franchise in baseball.
