Very good signing. Especially with talks about Millwood possibly being traded. When he's good...he's really good. $7.5 million is not expensive either for what he can do if he stays healthy. And yes...signing pitching is always a smart thing for the Rangers. Along with Harrison, Holland, Hunter, Feldman and/or maybe Feliz, if they choose to make that transition with him, they could make for a pretty solid rotation.

Nice "winter meetings live" thing. What is it? A bunch of tweets?

1. Very good signing by Texas, low risk high upside.
2. Very surprised he only signed a 1 year deal, heard he was looking for a 4-5year/60 million deal and that Seattle was the front runner.
3. Also surprised he choose to go to Texas over Seattle, I know Tex is a pretty solid team that will contend next year but I believe Seattle will be a contender also for the wild card and Seattle is heaven to pitch in. He's also a Brittish Columbian guy.

Yessiree! I love the guy, but he's a 5-6 inning pitcher and tends to give up a fair amount of long balls, which will not be helped by the Ball Park at Arlington conditions.
If he would only stay healthy, you could live with him giving you under 200 innings per year. He's only 27 years old, so maybe he'll shape up. I wish him luck as he was well liked here in Chicago, but just couldn't answer the bell every time out.
