Do you guys think the new MLB rule changes will benefit the batter or the pitcher? With the new timer, pitchers have to pitch quicker and batters cannot bat forever. There’s also larger bases as well. What do you guys think? Will there be more overs or unders?

Larger bases help both fielders and runners. The dumbass pitch clock affects both pitchers and hitters. I think MLB wants more scoring and faster games. It's kind of difficult to do both. Regardless, it won't take the betting markets long to catch up.

Banning the shift obviously helps batters, and I think the pitch clock does as well. Pitchers won't have time to think and then shake off numerous pitches before throwing like they have in the past. I don't know how much impact it will have overall, but I would have to assume favor the overs.

The impact of the new MLB rule changes on the game is subjective and can depend on the individual players, their skill level, and the strategies employed by their teams.
The introduction of the pitch clock may favor the pitcher as it can potentially limit the amount of time batters have to prepare for each pitch. On the other hand, the larger bases may benefit the batter as they may have a better chance of reaching the base safely.
It is difficult to predict whether there will be more overs or unders as a result of the rule changes, as it will depend on a variety of factors such as the pitching and hitting performance of individual players and teams, game strategies, and the specific circumstances of each game. HEB Partner

Kinda believe that with the pitchers only allowed 2 throws to check runner on 1st could lead to tad more stolen bases which in turn could lead to a tad more runs.Personally this effort to speed up the games is long overdue in my opinion and i'm looking forward to it and hope 2' hour games become the norm.

No attention span…? These changes are nonsensical.

Attention span has nothing to do with it, and if you really really try i'm sure you could make some sense of what they are trying to accomplish. Having said that, im no fan of magically putting a runner on second in extra innings.

Games are much longer now, I know they are compared to 20+ years ago. Watch a rerun form the 70s or 80s that's not a lowed down pennant or series game and see how innings moved. Foster Brooks not withstanding.

look, sadly these idiots couldn't do a simple stance adjustment I did in SOFTBALL, just move your front foot to the opposite field and your body will help you hit to the opposite field with huge holes there..so Theo Epstein saved the league by banning the shift..clearly these meatheads will get more singles, open up more runs now for the impact, read this CAREFULLY...
You had better come strong early on the overs before Vegas adjusts and fast...you and I are just suckers who can't resist the fun of gambling, trying to find any edge betting on predicting human mindset and achievement..while the books are guaranteed profit and have tons of eyes to react..in fact Live betting might be your best bet til they can figure out how to adjust that better...so get your act together and take advantage of a rare opp to make real money while you can...
You're welcome

Neither, because the books will adjust the lines for the new rules. So even if the scores are higher the o/u results should be the same.

You may want to remember, the no-shift rule will benefit only left handed hitters, it was almost never used against righties anyway. Working faster was never a problem for the better pitchers anyway, but it will cut down on batters that found 30/40 seconds between pitches to do nothing but f**t around. The bigger bases I DEPLORE; wtf is that needed for?
Unders may be a play to be considered early. Fans (gamblers) love overs and the rule changes will encourage them to think over, over, over, all the more. Books may compensate with an extra half run, or even full run early on, before anything is proven. jmho

Anything for more offense…Desperation has set in.

I like that one. I have been wondering when some guy will show up with a 15 inch extension on his "oven mitt" and expect the umpires to honor it. They will go to complete panic mode and suspend the game to call the commissioner.
