Seems like a decent lineup. This team looks like they threw in the towel when they had plenty of time to make a run, but getting rolled by bottom feeder teams the past couple weeks. Very disappointing

When your cleanup hitter most of the year ( Cal Raleigh) is a career .200 hitter 23rd in the mlb in rbis has struck out 153 times to date says everything.

Mariners are hitting the skids. They don't have the hitters, and don't get timely hits, and don't make contact.....that's life. There are more sad narratives in every sport than there are happy champiuonship success stories. FACT.
They are done.
Astros are peaking....

Can anyone else please raise their hand and admit they thought things would turn after Dan Wilson and Edgar Martinez were brought in?
If not that's fine I was born to be a lone ranger and I'll die a lone ranger

@leventis72
Yeah it's also the timing of things. For example, Ty France was a fan favorite and great teammate but he was struggling so bad they felt no choice but to dump him to Cincinnati where he's now batting 60 points higher. By losing him, it demoralized the team a bit because the last 2 years they made playoffs and just barely missed last season.
So supposing, they brought in Wilson and Edgar before that and tried to make it work with the popular, Ty France.
Yeah right, wishful thinking. My alter ego is a dreamer

Seattle has been bad at the plate all year. I bet them way early in the season one game in Baltimore and won, but at the time didn't know just how bad they were. I think Castillo started that game and the announcers were talking about how they don't string together many hits and rely heavily on walks and timely multi-run homers. Sure enough that's how they won. And with good pitching of course. If they were smart they'd have brought in a couple bats at the deadline that hit over 260ish and don't strike out a lot. Instead they got more of what they already have.
Definitely need to find some high average bats in the off-season.
Edit...Actually I looked back on May 18th it was and I was wrong they got a few runs in from doubles, not homers. But, was a low score a 4-3 win.
