If you have 5k laying around just sitting in the bank. Throw it in an offshore account. Start at 2 dollars a bet. Double up after every loss. When you win a bet, go back to 2 dollars. Never play more than one game at a time. If you don't lose 12 in a row, you should make at least 6% a year. The most I have ever lost was 10 in a row. 12 is very hard to do. You're not going to make 6% at the bank, or with some other shitty investment. And you probably can make 8%.

Unless you hit 55% or better. Which is even harder.

Other than that. The only way to end up with $5,000 gambling. Is to start with $10,000.

Just remember this and you will be golden:

90% can hit a high enough percentage to make a profit long term, but only 10% have the discipline and money management skills to make this happen.

This statement is similar to 90% of the wealth belongs to 10% of the population, same idea really. Basically anyone can pick 53%+ long term, but most people don't have the money management or the discipline to only play a select number of games. Especially with low juice books such as Pinny and 5dimes, the break even point is even lower than it used to be.
