I think the majority on here are losing too. Money management is key but easy said than done. Some on here are winning too but I think it will be gone in the long run. It's no thrilling or fun but it will destroy your life if you cannot control it. It's an addict. Bet if you can afford. GL

I've been betting on football since 4th grade. By 18 I was a legit capper. I've been winning ever since. I'm 37 and i've had one losing season in football in 20 years. At whatever point I end the year with a net loss (My year runs September-August) i'll probably quit.

Do you play the stock market? The crypto market. I think you should switch gears and focus there.

Have been sports betting for over 50 years mostly loser. betting more than i could afford. my bookie would say paying for you entertainment!
using credit to pay off. hating Tuesdays to meet the man. Last 10 years have been much more selective and betting smaller have been moderately successful.
not a way to supplement income!
Good luck

You give them everything in the end. I do it for the rich I've lost in the hundreds of thousands. I keep betting though. It's like a drug. I've been more selective since sports started back up and am up about 20k but eventually will give it all back

i agree to everyone point and not proud to say it myself. I think self control and discipline would help but hell everyone of us always get greedy. I was winning until the crazy voice keep telling me to get more and you could win more by taking more chances, and it can't go wrong, etc...still playing over 20 years.

I do extremely well in college hoops. I bet small but was up about 18k this year before this whole covid thing. I’ve lost a ton of that NBA, NHL, MLB and lets not even talk about my Nascar loses. I do come up here and there and deposit some in the bank so my wife thinks I’m doing well at this haha

Most I ever won was 40k in cash with local bookie in one year...I kept it in a shoe box because I didn’t know what to do with it as I learned you can’t deposit anything more than 10k for money laundering. I ended up giving it all back in a course of 3 months during bowl games and bad beats and a formula I thought worked that netted me the 40k run but in hindsight it was a lot of luck and just rollin hot. Total I’ve lost 100k in my lifetime and I’m having to tap into my retirement funds to front the debt. I have no wife and kids so no responsibilities....I figure what’s the point of retirement funds when you get old so others can figure out a way to get your money you saved up for years. Be that old schmuck hanging out at the slots?

I have been gambling more than 30 yrs. Most of the times, I lost. It is an adiction. It can control your life. Sometimes, you just want gambling all day and don't want to do anything else. Be careful, it can ruin your life too. I have seen so many friends and co-worker. Good luck.

Everyone goes through a learning curve. Some take longer to learn than others do. After that, you pretty much end up in 1 of 2 groups; you'll either be part of the 95% that focuses on the action, or the 5% that focuses on making a profit.
There's nothing wrong with being in the 95%, as long as you only bet what you can afford to lose. Being in the 5% group requires lots of time and tedious research. And it means ignoring the action aspect and being very selective with your bets. You might go days or even weeks without betting, only putting your money at risk when you find a substantial edge or favorable odds, which is much easier said than done. At some point, all truly profitable sports bettors realize that you'll make more from the bets you don't make, than the bets you do make.

Bankroll management & not chasing after a lose is key also. Don’t mix liquor with gambling it clouds your judgement.

me personally if i knew when to walk away pr stop chasing i would always be in the plus. the problem is greed. we always want more and more. my problem is betting way more than i should . getting cocky or desperate. the casinos know how human psyche works and thats why theyll always win the long game
