Interesting Observation

Download Yahoo Sports and follow the line movement on there. Take screenshots in the morning and compare over 2 hour periods. Pay attention to the line movement 20 mins before each game and pay attention to the LATE movement 10 mins before.

I've noticed over the past month that paying attention to the line movement on this app literally right before start of the game, will allow you to make the best decision for that game. Happened yesterday with BOS, line dropped an hour before, then 20-30 mins before started rising by 2-4 cent increments. Happened last week with the pirates and cubs. Happened yesterday with a low cards line, the line dropped even lower 5-10 mins before the game, in addition to the already low line.

Something definite to look in to

Currently looking at this cards game again. I screenshot the line at 11:53am and it stood at -117, since then it has gone down to -112 and back up to -115, if it reaches 120-125 before game time without dropping one more time, Cardinals is the play.

So what is your logic behind this other than a few correlations of a team winning when the line moved in its favor right before the start of the game?  Have you seen this happen and the team lost?  In this theory, how many have lost and how many have won and what's your sample size?  Elaborate.

this would probably have to have a bigger sample size.  Where do you find yahoo sports, and what do we have to download?

Nothing logged. CLEARLY this shouldn't be the only factor determining your decision but it should be the last thing to consider. Try it out for yourself today and see how it plays out. I don't have the time to log this but have been observing it the past month especially on the games I've lost money on due to late line movement on this app.

App Store on an iPhone and search yahoo sports. This is the BEST sports app to keep up with multiple sports, lines, and matchup previews. The MLB section has been off as of late, probably just need to do an update I love this app and it's the most organized sports app out there.

Now you just sound like a Yahoo app salesman.  GL anyway and if you're serious, track it for at least a few days or 10+ games and get back to us on what you find.

I do don't I lol but seriously once you download this app whether it be because of my observation or just for sport tracking purposes, you'll learn to love this app for all your scores, news and lines. Much better than espn, cbs sports anything else that's out there. I work most evenings from 5-11 so tracking this will be difficult but I'll do my best. Right now I'm paying attention to the cardinals and orioles.

Slowly rising. If I see this line on Yahoo Sports to be -120-125 without dropping in the last 10 mins I'm pounding it. Cardinals are 26-8 after a loss.

If you find an edge, don't bother sharing it.

Line dropped to -113, not good for STL. GREAT for Cubbies. If it doesn't go over the initial line of -117-120 it is a definite no play on the Cardinals and a strong consideration on the Cubbies. Hot bats+No Holliday+Before All Star Break+ Negative Line Movement+ Low line+Previous games played would = a play on the Cubbies

The BEST. If the MLB tab doesn't reload and update regularly use the Trending or Live tab right above it.

Of course, I've been on Covers long enough to realize this. I just want people to make money, same way I look into other people's posts to see what their edge is. Can't take everything into consideration but when you know how to filter things out, you make for a great combination of factors that help you make money at the end of the day.

In regards to the Cards..the play right now at 3:20pm EST is the Cubs and NO Score 1st Inning. The line is down to -113 again, unless there's a sudden increase back up to -117 + this line is a sucker bet for Card backers

Its real tough to pull the trigger on Cubs over Cards. Especially when are Cardinals are 26-8 after a loss.

Hey Chris where do u find the line movements on yahoo sports?  I can't seem to find it.  Or is it just the ml they have on the info that you go by our there's a list of line movements every min or hour like that?

Just the ML. It fluctuates throughout the day.
