he was going to have 5 days off in between starts and it&#x27;s an elimination game. you don&#x27;t hold back, if he craps game 5 cause of this then he does but you don&#x27;t leave any doubt in your mind as a manager

The doubt was actually not having faith in your closers. What kind of message does that send to those relief pitchers, who have actually pitched much better seeing as they just went 14 innings deep with their bullpen !!

That price warm up was seriously a very poor decision.

I'm all about leaving all cards on the table cause its playoffs, absolutely.

But given prices post season history . He should not have used his arm up at all ! Made no sense. Not when you have a 4 run lead !

Why not. He warmed up.You really think that will hamper price from pitching? after 11 days rest before his last start. Price could throw back to back games.

He had to be ready to put the best person in the game that gave them the best chance to win. It was an elimination game. If his pen was struggling and Texas put up a few runs he would have put in Price to seal the deal. And there is nothing wrong with that IMO

Regular season sure no problem...Playoff baseball is all about Mind games, the stress gets to these pitchers before anything else. Price is not a high caliber pitcher like Jake or Kershaw that goes deep 9. The bluejays think he&#x27;s their new savior like  Doc Halladay . Not even close.He doesn&#x27;t even have a high fast fastball like Ventura to say he has something.That crazy run he had with the Jays going 7-1 , was all because of the crazy mad run support. Dickey would of been 16 wins easily had the Jays gotten any runs for him begging of season. When pitchers are warming up, they are still throwing at full strength. Reason is so the bullpen can see if he has control or not. Thats why they usually warm up 2 pitchers in certain game situations like tonight.So basically Price pitched a 5 inning game this evening throwing 60&#x2B; pitches. Lets see how the Jays managers handle their team tomorrow. Once just once, I wanna see gibbons making the right decision and not the team bailing him out with crazy amount of runs and he takes the credit for all their wins

Stroman will start game 5 if they get there. Price will be coming out of the bullpen in next 2 games. Great move on Gibby.

You do realize that starting pitchers throw side sessions a couple days before starts right?

If he doesn't come in tonight in a high leverage situation he is more than fine to start Game 5.

You probably started watching the Jays two months ago
