I did the ol' ML parlay with OKC and Seattle Mariners. To see the Thunder come back like that and then "Meltdown" Fernando Rodney blow the save, it was a huge letdown. I feel like I'm winning 60% on individual picks, yet breaking even because I do 2 game parlays with my singles. I guess the obvious answer is to stop parlaying, but I sure would appreciate anyone's opinion on the matter.

Horse bettors play the pk 6 to make big bucks. They also play singles. I say try for the big bucks to stay motivated, but play solid singles. Play responsibly.

San Antonio and Miami ML 2 teamer for wed nite is perfect example of making good use of parlay
If you ask me (and you aren't I realize), Portland won't stay within 10. No need to back Spurs at -380. Best as a single. Nets might make it a game to the end. NBA ml wagers are hard to do consistently. Spurs by 15. Heat will toy with the bettors.

The only time I venture into a parlay situation is to "buy" insurance on 3 BIG straight bets.
I Round robin the opposite side on a 2/3way for a very small percentage my wagered unit.
It cuts into my winnings a bit, but
This way if I lose 2 or all 3 of the wagers I get back some of my investment.
otherwise try to stick to 1 or 2 straight wagers.
And always consider the 1st 5 vs FG.
You can win or push- which is nice and sometimes you get good odds on the +.05 (nothing wrong with buying points or winning a little less as long as it's a win)

IMO- the parlay game will ruin you.

Totally agree with mojo it's hard enough to consistently win in this getting game just hitting single games and now your talking about gettin 2 or more games right for payouts that although nice are Still lower % payout in relation to the games your getting right !

My suggestion to most people, especially new people and people who find themselves consistently losing is to stick to straight bets. Many do not possess the ability to produce enough winners, even on high juice plays, or the discipline to limit the amount of plays to times where it truly makes sense. I will 2 team parlay some games when I have multiple plays in a day and I have two higher type juice games. In April, which was a solid month for me overall, I had 11 two team parlays for the month and won 4.8 units on these plays. I never post them though because I don't really want to here the never parlay crowd. Rarely parlaying in disciplined situations has aided me some, but nothing earth shattering and definitely not something to go overboard with. Going volume there is a recipe for disaster in my humble opinion. If you are struggling just stick with straight plays, it is most likely your best course of action.

Parlay killed me last night did clips ml with rangers ml
Clips lost thanks to the refs
I am not criticizing, but why ever parlay two money line underdogs? if you have handicapped those games and determined them to be plays just play them straight. A 1-1 split out is still plus money, in this case almost a half unit. I had the Rangers last night also, Lundquist was the absolute beast I expected him to be. This kind of play is a perfect example of how not to parlay. Not trying to be mean or condescending, just trying to be helpful.
