Is this the first time an MLB line hits -500?

I don&#x2019;t think I&#x2019;ve seen a -500 line, and Keller isn&#x2019;t a bad pitcher. Without judge and Gary and Severino coming from his worst couple of outings I don&#x2019;t see a reason not to throw a little money on the Royals just for the ridiculous line.

&#xA;Just take a look at the Yankees lineup:&#xA;Hicks, Stanton, Gregorious, Torres, Bird, Walker, Romine, Wade, Robinson. &#xA;If Keller can control the first four, the bottom of that lineup is as bad as the Royals

1. I&#x27;ll assume that the Yankees are being used on every parlay ticket printed today.2. As you know, Yankees $ comes out to play on ALL their games(for the most part)3. I would also assume that "regression to the mean" bettors are salivating at Severino reverting back to form. In his last 3 starts he has been absolutely awful. Do books think the same? Keeping a high line keeps that $ away.Hey maybe he&#x27;s pitching hurt? Who knows, I&#x27;m considering flipping 2 quarters on KC ML today.

To answer your question I have never seen an MLB line at -500. Currently my Heritage Sportsbook lists NYY-491 & KC +391. The last dominant starting pitcher I can remember who consistently elevated the lines was Pedro Martinez in his hey day. In 1999 Pedro was -300 to -400 every time he took the mound. He started the All-Star game that year and struck out the side in the 1st inning and five of the six batters he faced in his two innings of work. This was the steroid era yet Pedro was just phenomenal.

There must have been some interview or ESPN special or something that is making people think Severino is "back" and totally ready for today&#x27;s game. The books MUST be getting tremendous KC action and it seems they will gladly take it all day. This line is ridiculous because Severino is not Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Roger Clemens, Greg Maddux etc...In this day and age there are not many credit bookies out there anymore so as in Vegas you need to push that cash you&#x27;re laying through that window.PROBABLY since this is an isolated game which will be graded before the next game gamblers ARE pushing that wad through the window although the line is dropping as KC hopefuls are waking up and taking a shot at the dog.JMHO

The funny part is this huge line comes when the Yankees lineup is seriously hurt and Severino had a couple of bad starts.&#xA;They played against the Orioles and other bad teams on better spots.

I"m semi shocked right now.  If KC wins after the 9th, I&#x27;ll be fully shocked. The Yankees will be the Donkeys if they lose this. Then again good luck.

The damn rain out cost me $240 in DK lineups last night, stacked the Royals on every single one ugh. With a new pitcher today I decided against the same thing but put a buck on KC just in case. WOW! I thought my ONLY shot was a close game. I have been screwed too many times to get excited yet haha.

&#xA;Why shocked? I still remember the Marlins beating the -400 kershaw Dodgers, yesterday the Twins were a blown save away from beating the -400 Red Sox.this literally happens every week, I mentioned the Yankees lineup 5-9 was terrible and severini&#x2019;s bad outings lately.
