Asked the city of Chicago for 1 billion dollars in public money for a new stadium today.

Illinois has to be the highest taxed state in the country minus California. 

Immigrants are being dropped of by the bus load daily. Taxes are being paid out the ass for them.

This city/state is broke as a joke. Like we really need to fund a new stadium for a shitty team. In a sport that has been slowly dying for quite some time.

Don't get me wrong, I love baseball. But there aren't many people that do anymore.

So true. Just look at the Soldier Field fiasco. 

It cost $632 million to renovate the stadium in 2002 and the taxpayer's are still on the hook for almost the entire amount 20 years later. All of the bond payments went to interest with the outstanding principal remaining the same.

Here in the DMV, Leonsis got rejected by the city of Alexandria .

He's plan was ill- conceived in that his 'lobbying' efforts were nil and our Govnah couldn't build concensus.

So leonsis grovelled back to Mayor Bowser and got what he wanted.

He's got a horrible bball team, his Alma mater Gtown sucks( they play in his building) and the Caps define mediocrity.
