Started my MLB season a little late(yesterday). Played 2 underdogs yesterday in Miami Marlins and San Francisco Giants and they both hit. 2-0 so far with + $200 and some change in profit. Heres Todays picks.
Philadelphia Phillies ML-140
Phillies are the better overall team, that doesnt always matter but the Phillies have a huge edge on the mound too. Phillies have Jake Arrieta on the mound and he has been siizzzlliinnggg hot. He has pitched great so far this season at 3-0 with 1.82 ERA not to mention throughout his career he has a 1.80 ERA against the Phillies in a couple starts. For the Marlins Dan Strailly gets his first start of the season for the today against a team that he struggled against last season as he had a 6.80 ERA in a couple appearances. That is noooo buennooo. Not to mention he is coming back from a forearm injury, we dont know if he gonna be fully healthy. Even when healthy he sucked against Phillies. Based on the stats and the fact that Phillies would like to bounceback after a wack series vs Braves Imma roll with the Phillies. Yes the Marlins won a series this weekend at home vs Rockies but they will lose this series and it starts with tonights game.
Milwaukee Brewers ML -115
Brewers will get back to their winning ways tonight. Brew Crew were on a winning streak before the Chicago Cubs pitching smacked them around this past weekend for 4 straight losses.Tonight they face Brandon Finnegan for the Reds who is 0-2 with a 8.03 ERA in 3 starts so far this season, ohhh my lordddyy. Thats terrible so far. He is an average pitcher who owns a career ERA over 4.00 and some change. He doesnt win much and pitching on his home field doesnt help him either throughout his career. Surprisingly Finnegans career numbers is solid vs Brewers as he is 2-1 with a ERA a little over 3 in 6 starts. However Im not buying into that stat vs this years Brew Crew squad. I think this team is solid, and will win alot of games this season. I like the players they picked up this offseason, example is Lorenzo Cain. Like I stated they were just starting to fly high before seeing Cubs. They won what? 9 games in a row or something. Pitching for Brewers is Jhoulys Chacin who is 2-1 with a 3.99 ERA this season, not great but better than Finnegan's stats this season. On the road he is a little shaky but when you have the 3rd best pullpen in the Majors backing you up chances are youre the better equipped team to get out of sticky situations on the mound. If they get the lead early, Brewers will keep the lead in the middle innings. They have chance of scoring alot early on Finnegan.Im betting on the fact that the Reds offense slows down tonight after a offensive explosion at Minnesota during the weekend. Reds are terrible at home and have terrible pitching, terrible bullpen, terrible everything with the exemption of Votto and maybe one or two others. Brew Crew Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
