Yeah, nothing surprising there either with the team, term or money. I don&#x27;t think Garza is thinking championship any more and the N.L. will be better for him. Who is next in line?

I guess who&#x27;s next depends on which gamble you want take, both Jimenez and Santana are unreliable in my opinion. You just never know which version of them is going to show up. Gun to my head I will say Jimenez next, that is who I would take if I was forced to choose between the two.

I forgot about Bronson Arroyo. He probably goes next. Shorter term and no draft pick attachment unlike the other two.

I think Arroyo is a possibility but I can&#x27;t agree on Jimenez, he is a little flakier even than Santana. My guess would be Santana for skill or Arroyo for the lack of baggage. jmho

Been waiting for this signing for sometime....rode up elevator with Garza &amp;  kids late last season.....asked him if he&#x27;d stay in TX...typical MLB  FA pitcher  response ............"if they pay me" ...cordial, but like Tanaka and the American way. qouting the Great Steve Miller......."Go on, take the Money and run.." Personally, that&#x27;s not a bad deal for either side

Has there ever been a guy traded for more good prospects and given more big money who won&#x27;t live up to it than Matt Garza? He is your typical 12-9 3.81 ERA guy and if thats worth that salary than God help us all

From a Brewers fan who just really wants to see a competitive ball club this year I'm not mad at all with having Garza as my #3 starter.. Obviously the season will pin on Braun, injuries, and the bullpen exceeding expectations.

I think it is finally official unless someone shot their load again early...Key you are right Jimenez is flakier than even Santana, I just feel Jiminez has more upside, alas he also has more downside. I really wouldn&#x27;t want either for my team if I was putting one together at today&#x27;s prices and that is probably partially why, along with the draft pick compensation attached to them, they are amongst the last to find homes.
