Cabrera is hitting a whopping .187 with 2 home runs. With the recent release of Prince Albert by the LAA, how long will it be before the Tigers do the same with Cabrera?
Soon? Early in 2022? Early 2023 the last year of his contract?
So sad to see a great hitter go down the tubes like this, but age and injuries are hurting him.
Thoughts?

I live in Novi so I know what you mean about these Tigers. They hold onto bad players for too long and get rid of the good players. IMO yes, Miggy is hurting the Tigers but then again, their offense is not good and hasn't been for some years. Their record has been atrocious for years but they must be making money otherwise you would think ownership would do something. Pitching and bullpen is horrible, but like I said, they hold onto bad players for too long. Same could be said for the Pistons and Lions. Our sports teams here in Michigan are just really bad. Harbaugh cant get it done at UM so why not continue to let this guy coach, lmao what a joke

Increible decir que cabrera es un mal jugador!!!, esta al final de su ilustre carrera que terminara en detroit, y se ira al llegar a los 3000 mil imparables y los 500 hr, pienso que para el proximo año.

Wings record didn't indicate the improvement of the team. Some of the young guys made major steps this season. Zadina, Rasmussen, and Veleno look like the real deal. Varana was a great trade. We'll see who they lose in to Seattle in the draft. I'm guessing Nielsen (fingers crossed). Other guys I like are Lindstrom (D), Erne and Namestnikov. Seider (D) played extremely well in Sweeden and could be with Detroit next year as well as Raymond. We need Bertuzzi to get healthy and Larkin to play a lot better than he did this year. Resigning Bernier is a must. Goaltending could be a big problem in the future. I'm wondering who Yzerman drafts. Jesper Wallstedt is suppose to be the top goalie. 6'3 and 18 years old. Scouts love this guy.
Out of all 4 Detroit teams I believe the Wings are on the right track and will be the first team back in the playoffs.

Not really. 2016 the Tigers finished 2nd behind Cleveland and he hit 316 with 38 HR and 108 RBI's. 2017 we finished last. We lost Scherzer to free agency. Signed that bum Zimmerman. Traded J.D. Martinez Casatelanos. The whole team was ripped apart and we've fielded minor league players since. Injuries and age are catching up to Cabrera. Also the Verlander trade has been a bust. Rogers can't hit. Cameron is still in the minors. Perez was put on waivers and he was the key player in the trade. He was released and then given a minor league contract.
Personally I don't think Al Avila has done a good job. Some draft picks look good (Mize, Greene, and Manning), but Torkelson hasn't hit yet. I wojuldn't be surprised if Avila is shown the door around the same time as Cabrera.

My cousin is the Chief of Police in Novi. Most of my buds back home are from Novi as well.
With that said. Miggy hasn’t been close to healthy in years. He plays through pain every day it seems. While the time is coming, it makes sense to let him go.
however, it will be a sad day when that day comes. You would like to see him get a few bombs first. I would imagine he is probably a good guy to have in the locker room with the young guys too.

The guy is a HOF candidate so this is hard. However, he should be let go with the numbers he has been putting up lately, but who do they have to replace him? Right now he is an expensive 1B that has terrible numbers.
