It's the classic letdown, but it's very real the letdown that is.  Last year the Twins finally won a playoff series something they ain't done in 2 decades and that's an accomplishment even though the fans obviously want more.

Same thing happened with Seattle last year and somehow carried over to this year.

Also with Houston Astros they made the playoffs in 2015 after losing 100 games for 3 years in a row then had letdown year in 2016 then won world series in 2017 and been in the LCS every year since

Classic letdown ?  That may be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard......the Twins were in wildcard position for four months solid.....where was the letdown ?  The fact is the Twins lost their ace (Joe Ryan) in Augustt....and Buxton and Correa missed too much time...losing Kepler recently didn't help....and missing Lewis much of the season hurt them.....but overall their bats have been subpar down the stretch...even with these guys back(except Kepler.....but their starting pitching was already thin when Ryan went down....and it killed them with rookies like Matthews and Festa having to pitch so many games....both not really ready for the big leagues....and Woods-Richardson faded badly the last couple months .....no question the Twins don't deserve to make it . . . they need major starting pitching help in 2025.

 Hell no. When teams need to win to be in its obvious they don't have what it takes. Minny has been unable to hit for months. Good riddance.

As a huge twins fan this was Brutal crushing loss!!! That bunt double play was unacceptable!!! Losing Joe Ryan was killer!!! SWR/festa and Matthews were thrown to wolves!!! They did their best in keeping twins in playoffs contention this long but ran out of gas. Didn’t help with corea/buxton and Lewis being out for long time!!! This will sting for long long long time!!!
