Rangers +138, Perez/Verlander

Perez will not be confused with Sale, Kershaw or Bumgarner at Cy Young Award time but he may have a really fine day today versus a Tiger’s offense that looks like they have never seen a lefty. They have lost 5 straight after an opening defeat of Chen, and have averaged just 1.1 earned runs per nine in all 6 games. Verlander is still struggling and has shown me a quality performance in only 2 of his 6 starts. The Rangers are coming out of a mini-slump and have averaged 5.1 earned runs per 9 their last 15 and 4.95 their last 3 versus righty.

Possibly more later, I am not done yet, Sunday you know, Church and Family come first.

Red Sox +115, Wright/Severino

The BoSox should be ashamed of their performance so far in New York. They are the class of the division and are letting the worst Yankees team in a generation look good against them. Wright’s knuckleball has been a nightmare for everyone and has carried him to a 5-0 quality start record. Severino is not what the Yankees envisioned for him at this point, with an 0-5 h2h record and just 1-4 in the quality start department. The BoSox should wake up and rip this guy.

I'm on Boston as well but it's really mind blowing to me that Severino has struggled as much as he has. Obviously, it's been a command issue but his stuff is electric to say the least.

I had Severino with top of the rotation potential to start the year, but he has disappointed. H still has the potential of course but I think his command issues are linked to a focus issue. He slips a cog mentally now and then. 

Oh well, 2-0, +$506.00 is a nice day for me, hope he sleeps as well as I do tonight.
