 I really only bet with my intuiton now after doing this on and off for nearly 20 years.  Literally, I look at hilights and then spend about 10 minutes in the morning betting the things that stand out to me. I bet 1 unit and don't care much when i lose because it doesn't cost me much. A lot younger me would be bullshit at my badbeats but I just don't care anymore. Prob the best advice i can give to any bettor.
