These last couple weeks of watching MLB has gotten me where I do not even want to watch anymore. These players and managers have gotten away from the simple basic fundamentals of the game. It seems to me that these players are more concerned about hitting home runs than using basic fundamentals to move a player into scoring position. Then you have the managers pulling pitchers early and having the bull pens just fall apart. Then the new changes with the clock and tie games. Just not what it used to be. I also am not a fan of interleague play either. Thinking about putting baseball where I put NFL Football off. Will stick with both college baseball and football.

Well, we have a commissioner that doesn't know baseball. Man-Fred is goofy and sucks. Comes in let's add a pitch clock which sucks. Let's add a runner on 2nd so we can shorten the game and cut back on stats which sucks... Players today are Sissy's overpaid whiners. No one plays the game the way it used to be and should be played. Pete Rose is a good example the guy simply played all nine innings and hustled. Nolan Ryan would pitch a whole game and let his arm fall off before he wanted to come out. I am a huge MLB fan but for the past few years, I really don't like it much. Steroid-Era was awesome lol.

I wonder if yall complain about your kids and grandkids at their jobs. Because I can tell you they do not work as hard nor have the same work ethic as their fathers and grandfathers.
This isn’t an airport, no need to announce your departure.

Roid era was great and still a shame the all time HR king Bonds can't be in the HOF, but they can add negro league stats all of a sudden in a pure political move and screw someone like Cobb
I remember the summer of Bonds and 73 homers and every time he came to bat stations would cut out to show his at bats. He got walked intentionally a ton too and still did it. Plus no proof he ever took anything other than hearsay.
No matter what he still had to hit the homers and hit a bunch be4 he put weight on
Banned for using a burning $ emoji. Lol. TRUMP 2024!!!

I watched my youngest growing up playing softball. It was always a much better game to watch compared to baseball because of the speed of play. Now with the pitch clock baseball is better and I wish for a pitch clock in softball.
Players work just as hard if not harder now than they used to. There is too much money involved not to be in shape, be at your best form, and technology has further developed players in many aspects.
Injuries are a concern, but it is an investment. If I have a pitcher making 25 million a year I want them to pitch ALL YEAR. I may take them out early and/or give them a rest here and there. The investment is far more valuable over the long haul instead of just one more inning here or there.
Interleague play has allowed fans in certain cities to see other players that they normally would not see. I absolutely love the Governor's Cup in Ohio, especially with the Tribe dominating the series since 2015.
I grew up watching the Big Red machine and then the Tribe with Kenny Lofton. Baseball as a game is better to watch now than it has ever been. Even my wife who rarely watches sports commented that baseball id finally tolerable to watch now that it has a pitch clock.

this is a culture/technology crisis. in my youth there was a hunger for accomplishment that is gone today. I believe young people see others get rich posting pics online. and they see adults that dont seem to get jobs because they are good at them, but because they know somebody, or look the right way. Corruption hampers the desire to succeed when you see a tilted playing field.
the USA needs a nasty economic depression to bankrupt & weed out corruption at the top of numerous institutions. None of the sports or entertainment institutions give a lick about excellence. its about optics & politics. this is the dregs of wealth inequality & a cloistered elite that live in gated communities & disdain the fans. Bankrupt the rich, break up the entertainment monopolies & make people compete again.

Baseball has been a shit show for 3+ decades now. But to each their own; if ppl enjoy watching then so be it. I wager on sports to make money but don't watch a single minute of any of it.

yeah this culture is in crisis for sure. Social media and new aged feminism has thrown off the social dynamic in modern society
A lot of men are soft as hell these days but it’s not hard to see why
