Detroit (-115) vs. Toronto
Sanchez has been solid as of late while Dickey has struggled since the all star break. Toronto is still without some of their big bashers and I look forward Miggy Cabrera to get out of his slump tonight. Toronto's best hitter Bautista is 1-8 against Sanchez in his life. Sanchez is 2-0 with a 1.31 ERA in his last three starts against the Jays.
Washington (+105) vs. Atlanta
Strasburg against Santana in a pitchers dual. Both pitchers have been solid lately, so my theory to always go with the better pitcher is a tough one here. The reason I'm going with Washington is that Atlanta has lost eight games in a row. They have not scored more than 4 runs in their last eight games and I just don't see them scoring more than 1 tonight against Burg. I would probably take Atlanta end their losing streak, if they weren't going against Strasburg who will shut them down. Wash offense is just better than Atlanta.
San Fran (-110) vs. KC
The hottest team in baseball in the KC Royals. Since July 22nd, the Royals are 12-3 which holds the best record. Bumgarner, although, is coming off the best start of his career and I think he is going to stop the Royals tonight. One big reason I think that is because Vargas is pitching for the Royals. Vargas (8-5, 3.69) has lost consecutive starts and seen his ERA climb to its highest point since entering a May 25 start at 3.76.
